Biography and Background:
Entrepreneurial, internationally experienced, and results proven executive with success in international operations and business development of cloud and SW companies acquired by a large corporation. With diverse experience in Information Technology that encompasses Cyber Security, Analytics, Internet Technologies and Data protection. Sabine has a versatile background that includes functioning as a COO and Business Unit leader of international operations, CMO, Product Management and Strategy, SW to Cloud transformation, Business Development and Development of HW and SW.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
In Carbonite we live the 'channel first' idea, where we build our business on our partner channel. Leading our customer success organization where we focus on solution expansion in our existing customers in cross-selling, up-selling and with renewals across the steadily fast growing data protection portfolio in Carbonite. IT environments are comprised of an assortment of critical and non-critical systems. We launched a set of new products that we developed and acquired to enrich our end-to-end data protection platform that aligns the right technology for each system can help you lower costs and simplify business continuity catering to the needs of recovery in seconds, minutes and hours based on the business need and to ensure that nobody overpays to protect less critical systems, or under-protect systems essential to the business. Our partners grow with us in offering a data protection platform.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
We just unified to a new partner program foster embracing all solution elements of our data protection platform. Enablement and demand gen material is launched and expanded in our partner portal, our enhanced website launched in October providing insight into solution scenario's and we offer partner specific activities in form of webinars, 'event in a box', collateral and demand gen elements. The intent is growing our channel business substantial.

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
The WEST Organization kindly awarded me the Woman of the Future award for my career achievements and focus to mentor and develop woman.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I admire Michelle Obama, who demonstrated wonderful leadership as First Lady to encourage men and woman to strive for being the best and smart as well as acknowledging to work hard for it, my favorite quote: I never cut class. I loved getting A's, I liked being smart. I liked being on time. I thought being smart is cooler than anything in the world.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Be yourself, strive for reaching the stars and dare to speak up!

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
I would love to be more knowledgeable in AI and emotional intelligence to gain deeper and better insight into customer buying patterns.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
'My Sister's Keeper' from Jodi Picoult - like all her books the story is told out of the viewpoint of the characters and it shows the many sides to a situation, in this book I found this extraordinary demonstrated.
