Biography and Background:
Colleen Grounds is the Director of Channel Marketing for Carbon Black. She leads a strong team of Channel Marketing Managers. Her team focuses on channel marketing plans, campaigns, channel tools, and product launches for all partners in North America. This role manages a series of critical tools and resources for partners such as the partner portal, enablement, communications, and channel content. She also works with the Operations team to support the strategy for the Carbon Black Partner Program. This includes collaborating to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, leveraging best practices from other parts of Carbon Black, automation enhancements, development of new tools and an increase in self-service adoption and employee engagement. Prior to joining Carbon Black in June 2017, Colleen held high-priority roles supporting the channel at McAfee, Trend Micro, Cisco, and BeyondTrust. During her 15 -year career in the security industry, she has also served in sales and program management positions.
How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Colleen has restructured the Channel Marketing team to support the Carbon Black partner strategy. Channel Marketing Managers focus on all partners in the Carbon Black Partner EcoSystem. New processes have been created to make it easier for partners to do business with Carbon Black.
What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Continue to support and enhance all areas of the partner program including enablement, profitability, and tools.

Jane Goodall - Her unconventional approach to research lead to new methodologies in many different studies.
What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Be confident and don't get distracted by the small stuff. We all have a gift to offer.
If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
Graphic design. Everyone learns differently and sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words!
