How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
At AVANT, we are constantly listening, learning and improving in partnership with our channel. Across the business, I have utilized my experience and relationships to open doors. I've also put into place a strong rigor of excellence when it comes to working with our partners. My charter is to drive deep knowledge sharing across our channel partnerships and earn the trust of our partners. Cultivating relationships with our partnerships and turning those into revenue producing machines are my most important focus.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
To lead the industry as a Channel Sales Enablement company. We're looking to significantly increase our business through trainings, enablement and investments in partner programs. We are rapidly accelerating our business with more qualified partners, agents and suppliers to further enhance the success of our ecosystem.

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
As a company, AVANT has been recognized with numerous awards including Navisite's Partner of the Year, Masergy's Top Partner, the largest and fastest growing Cisco Powered Cloud aggregator, Top distributor for Rackspace, Flexential and HOSTING, as well as Most Innovative Cloud Partner Business Model by Channel Partners and one of the Best and Brightest Companies to Work for in 2016. I was also personally honored as one of CRN's 2017 Women of the Channel.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I admire Jill Billhorn, VP of Sales at CDW. She is a role model to me because of the strength and the level of confidence she carries and uses to propel her team forward. I've watched since my first day in the workforce and have seen her take risks, be firm and confident with conviction in her decisions. I see her as a role model who has pushed the boundaries for women and constantly broken through that proverbial glass ceiling.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Get smart. Work hard. Be confident in yourself. You are in total control of your own success.

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
I want to better master the art of the negotiation. This skill transcends both professionally and personally.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a **** by Mark Manson. It was a good reminder about prioritization and focus on the important things in life.
