How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
I have successfully recruited new strategic partners to the AVANT eco-system. Leaning heavily on my relationships in the channel, along with Avant's top notch Sales Enablement tools, I have helped enable my partners with the resources to grow their business and become true experts on cloud based technologies.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
My goal is to always increase my technical knowledge and continue to support my partners to showcase their full potential and grow their revenue.

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
I have been the six-time recipient of the AVANT Hustle Award for achieving high revenue months, five-time AVANT Club, AVANT Presidents Club and received an award for top billed booked revenue of $2m when supporting one of AVANT's VARs.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I greatly admire my yoga instructor who persuaded me to become yoga certified and has pushed me along the way. She is a great example of gratitude and confidence. CorePower Yoga's Teacher training was extremely intense and time consuming, and helped me find my voice. It has led me outside of my comfort zone. Since taking on this challenge, my self-confidence has improved and so many of my fears disappeared. I use these skills (including focused breathing) daily in my job.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
If I could go back in time, I would tell myself, "Sam, do not worry about the future because much of it is out of your control." Although you can plan, your plans will more than likely take another route. Don't be mad at your siblings, they'll become your best friends. Trust your decisions and continue following your dreams. Travel as often as you can!"

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
Time management is an art and in this industry that is moving at an alarming pace, I am constantly trying to stay ahead. I also strive to have a good balance of work and home.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
Relentless, by Tim Grover, is a book of great insight about what the defining factor of giving your all means. It also underscores that you need to treat all opportunities like they are your first. This book teaches you that things don't just happen overnight -it takes takes practices and determination to get what you want.
