Biography and Background:
Becca Stucky specializes in data-driven demand generation, process and systems improvement, and generating high-volume, high-converting leads from all over the world. At Thycotic, she leads a world-class team of marketing professionals to engage prospects through digital demand generation and in-person events. Creating value through free tools and engaging and educational materials, Becca oversees direct marketing and coordinates with the worldwide channel to create a powerful wave of engagement worldwide.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Thycotic is growing at 50% year over year, and a big part of that success is because of the growth in the channel. Today, digital lead gen gives everyone an opportunity for exponential growth, and we've spent the last year making sure that everything we create and learn from HQ marketing, we also make available to empower the channel. Our channel partners are an extension of our business, and when we build demand gen campaigns, we think of them as an integral member, so they can easily use our resources through customized partner landing pages and clear and automated tracking of partner lead generation. We know that when the channel considers new software vendors to partner with, they are looking for a real partner, where the contribution they bring is recognized and their leads are protected. With the automation and integrated systems we've built, Thycotic partners get just that - clarity, automation, and visibility into their leads, as well as the power of our tested campaigns and nurture tools.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Our digital campaigns already include the channel as in integral component. This year, we're adding more automation. We want all partners to be able to use digital programs for their own demand generation with access to our systems and campaigns immediately upon onboarding. My team knows how important face to face connections are with prospects and customers. We are working with channel partners to take our user conference on the road through a new initiative called Unlocked Regional. These events will bring Thycotic engineers, customers, prospects, and the channel together locally to talk tech and hear directly from Thycotic engineers.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I've always been fascinated with economics. Probably why I love my job so much, because I get to work with data. Janel Yellen was the first woman to chair the Federal Reserve, and being the first in a place where huge, weighty decisions fell on her shoulders is truly inspiring. It's still not unusual for women to experience being the first or only the only woman in an advanced math class, the first in a leadership role at a growing company any new experience can be intimidating, but being the first or only at something can be a daunting experience.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Your hair won't always look like you stuck your finger in a light socket. I know that may sound like shallow advice, but to a 16-year-old who stands out like a sore thumb because she's too tall, too skinny, has crazy-curly-frizzy hair, and a big red birthmark on her face it doesn't matter if you learn to hide or somehow find inner strength to put yourself out there every day, you still wish your life was easier, you fit in better. I wouldn't be who I am without those experiences, but boy, I would have appreciated knowing it'd get better.

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
I wish I could be amazing at sales. I think it's one of those fantasies where you want something you know you'll never have, and you'd like it without putting the work in. I've always been in awe of people who can convince people to buy things over the phone, or even in person, no matter what it is. It takes really special talents of being able to connect with people, understand their needs and what they want, persuasion and keeping a certain level of urgency and tenacity.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
Lost Connections: Uncovering the Real Causes of Depression - And the Unexpected Solutions. This is by far the best book I have read, possibly in years. I know it sounds like a bit of a downer, a deep-dive into depression, but that's not how it reads. Instead, it reads like a roadmap to happiness, and talks about very important components to a happy life. Some of these things are obvious, but I can bet you, even for the obvious chapters, most people are not doing them enough.
