How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
By staying close to what's the most important: PEOPLE! To me, it's not about sales numbers and monthly quota, it's about our agents, staff, and channel managers; it's about their quality of life, identifying and fulfilling our personal dreams. I focus on giving agents the ability to be entrepreneurs and to design their business with a safety net. I am here as a guide, a coach, and a mentor, supporting them along the way. To me, the key to success is investing in my staff and our agents, taking the time to work on personal growth and business goals, and setting individual goals and strategies by agent/agency.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
To continue to assist my ever-growing staff in self-improvement efforts, and to continue supporting my agents in their business growth, overall educational experience and empowerment. My main goal for this year is to put together a new agent success track, which is currently in the design process. I measure my success by the amount of people I help achieve theirs.

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
Verizon Partner Program: #1 partner 2016 and 2017 - Two years running. I am honored to be the Chair Person of the Verizon Partner Advisory council. I am proud to be a part of the Verizon channel for 21 years and to be able to work so closely with its top partners and channel executives to develop a phenomenal program. Making the WOTC list for the first time in my 21 years in the channel!

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Janet Schijns- She has been a mentor and friend. I witnessed her transform the Verizon Partner Program, creating a 5-star program. Janet, a true champion of women, offers her guidance in many forms. Janet believed in me when another influential sister introduced us. Being involved in her groups, business review sessions, and simply watching her, taught me immensely; setting an example of how females should empower and build one another up. THAT is the conversation I want to be a part of; how we lead by example by helping each other. By taking one another's hands along the way.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
You control your own life, which comes down to your choices. You always have the ability to change it. Quality not quantity. If you put your mind to it, you will do it. Experience life as it is happening and be present. Plan for the future, set goals, have dreams, but STILL live in the moment. Make the time, and take the time for yourself to unwind and enjoy. Celebrate your successes! Work hard... Play harder!

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
Public Speaking- I am petrified and it's the one thing I really feel holds me back.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
What's a book? Just kidding- I never make the time, but I have some good ones waiting!
