Biography and Background:
I have an extensive background in sales and marketing. I've worked with startups as well as mid to large sized software organizations. In each of my roles, the channel has played an important role in growing the organizations and driving business.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
This past year in particular we have seen a lot of change within our channel business. With our merger with Syncsort, my role is to help build out the channel program similar to what Vision Solutions has had. Being a consistent contact has helped to create a more engaged channel. In my role in marketing I develop relationships with our partner channel to better understand their business models and then create programs and initiatives that will both enable the partner as well as create opportunities and further build the sales pipeline. Working closely with these partners to really listen to what they need and work to help provide the resources, programs and opportunities to be successful. Being able to identify which partners we can also bring together to help create a more cohesive team is part of what I've done to help build the channel

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
My goals for the coming year would be to further build and enable our channel to be experts on the combined Syncsort/Vision Solution products so that they recognize opportunities and can be ambassadors for our products. Helping them to be successful and being an advocate for them in the organization._

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
I was named an Unsung Hero within my company. The VP for North American Sales nominated me for this for my continuing work with his sales team and ensuring that they have everything they need to be successful.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I would say that one of the women I admire would be Queen Elizabeth. At a very young age she was thrust in the international spotlight and having to rule and be an advocate for her people in a very male dominated society. Throughout her reign she has had to face many trials and serious issues and done so with grace while facing roadblocks and criticism.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Stay true to yourself, work hard, believe the best in people.

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
Speaking a foreign language. Being able to communicate in native languages with counter parts and partners would forge closer ties and relationships.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
Talk Before Sleep. It was a moving story of 4 friends and how the bonds of friendship and loyalty helped them all through tough times.
