In my role, I have developed marketing strategy, plans and programs to support our channel partners. I've continued to develop unique ways to communicate with our partner base and extend our message to new partners. I've also driven key events including our Partner Advisory Councils and our Annual Partner Conference to engage with our partners around key topics and initiatives. I've also worked to revamp and expand our partner development fund program to include additional partners and programs.
What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Transitioning to the cloud is a key driver for our Channel team in 2018. Developing marketing and communication strategies to engage and recruit cloud solution partners to sell our cloud -based security services and solutions will be a priority for my team. We'll also be focused on campaigns and initiatives that target mid-market customers and the unique challenges they face.
What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Katharine Hepburn is someone I have always admired. She was a strong woman and wasn't afraid to challenge stereo types. She lived an unconventional lifestyle and refused to conform to society's expectations of women. She had a long and varied career and chose to portray a wide variety of characters on screen. Her tenacity and independent spirit helped change perceptions about modern women and pave a path for those who followed.
What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Run your own race - only YOU know and understand what will make you happy and contented. Also, don't worry so much - -everything is going to turn out better than you expected.
If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
I would like to learn to speak Spanish. My mother is bilingual and as a child she always wanted to teach me and I was not interested in learning beyond a few key phrases. As I have gotten older, it's something I always wished I'd mastered
What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
On Fire: The 7 Choices to Ignite a Radically Inspired Life by John O'Leary. It's an inspirational story of a man who cheated death and what he learned from it. He challenges readers to view life differently - not just to avoid death but to really live your life to the fullest. One takeaway is about reframing how we look at things and ask questions. By reframing a question, you can transform the answers and in turn your life. This really resonated with me and is something I try to use when solving a problem or tackling a challenge.
