Biography and Background:
Thirty+ years B2B executive with experience specializing in channel-centric strategy, marketing and program management in the business management software industry. Consistent track record of increasing shareholder value by developing award-winning partner programs, strategic plans, forming strong teams and driving superior execution and optimal customer experiences.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
One of our key channel initiatives having significant impact on our partner community was bringing together our VARs and Sage Intacct Accountants Program partners to a multi-day business building conference expanding our partner sales and marketing capability. The Sage Intacct Xtreme Business Building Conference was based on collaboration and sharing best practices between our top producing partners and Sage Intacct. The objective in bringing the two partner channels together was to maximize time and develop and convey new best practices and tools to help our channel be more successful. Our attendees walked away with actionable ideas that they took back, executed on to accelerate their Sage Intacct practice. Three key tracks were offered including a Sales & Marketing track with professional sales trainer J. Barrows. We have continued to develop the Sage Intacct Partner Program which recently was awarded CRN's Five Star Partner Program award for the sixth consecutive year by adding prescriptive and specific tools and business guides to accelerate success in building a cloud practice.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
We remain committed to: • Add more qualified partners and increase overall percentage of company revenue that comes through our channel partners and hence increasing the amount of new accounts coming through our channel. • Building stronger working relationship between our VAR partners and our Sage Intacct Accountants Program partners

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
2017 Women of the Channel by CRN

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Linda Beene, former Vice President of Finance & Operations for a venture funded start-up company that I reported to many years ago provided me a tremendous foundation to my career by ingraining many essential management skills but, most importantly showed me through her own example that leadership is a choice.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Don't be afraid to fail as it's the best opportunity to learn.

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
Digital Marketing & Analytics. I recently learned there is 2.5 quintillion bytes of data being created daily by digital systems or systems linked to the Internet of which 90% created in the last two years and we are only tapping into a fraction of the data. Because of the enormity of data being collected there is and will continue to be an abundant need for those with the skill set to analyze the data to solve challenges and provide answers because the extent to which the data is being leveraged is minimal compared to the possibilities.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
Understanding Digital Marketing: Marketing Strategies for Engaging the Digital Generation by Damian Ryan. Curiosity and a lack of knowledge in this area led me to this book because technology is constantly evolving and transforming the way we access our information, interact and communicate with each other and it is important to understand the trends to stay in the game.
