Biography and Background:
After successfully growing the Mimecast MSP Channel Business 45% YOY, I started the Strategic Partner Development Team which is responsible for proactively recruiting and developing partners that align with our cyber resilience business model. We have seen a shift in the importance of security and cloud strategies within the mid-market and enterprise space and our partners are adapting to this shift to offer cloud migration services. They are also establishing bundled product lines and offering their customers professional services around Mimecast's products and services. I am excited to see what happens on this journey with the Strategic Partner Development Team so we can get the right enablement tools and resources into our partners' hands.
How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Together with my team, we developed a rewarding Channel Program for Managed Service Providers that includes partner tiers and technical certification enablement tracks. Our new partner onboarding process walks new partners through the important stages of being a successful trusted adviser to their customers. In 2017, I recently gained the mindshare of regional partners who are focused on fortune 500 organizations across North America. I aligned each new partner with our field sales team to work together on accounts and broaden the product depth in the cyber resilience space. We are hitting the ground running here in 2018!
What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
We are launching our new Channel Program in April 2018 and I want to ensure everyone, including all Mimecasters, other vendors and all partners, know that Mimecast has the best partner framework. But not only just a framework, Mimecast will execute and make sure our partners receive the most benefits of our rewarding program.
What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
I achieved 185% of my revenue target, inducting me into the annual Mimecast Eagles Club for the third year in a row. My five Partner Account Managers also exceeded their goals and we had full participation as the top performers for Mimecast across the world. Three of my team members received Channel QBR of the quarter this past year. Kudos to them! I became part of the Women at Mimecast group which has been very rewarding. I cannot wait to see all the work this group will do as the years go on!
Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
There are so many women I admire for different reasons so it's hard to just choose one woman to write about. I am part of the Boston Business Women's Group and as I read different women's stories, struggles and successes of entrepreneurship, I constantly find myself inspired in a new way every time. I take bits and pieces from these women's lives and incorporate them into my daily life as much as possible. It is so encouraging to see how women use every resource at their fingertips and collaborate with each other.
What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
"Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment." Buddha This quote says it all. Being present is the most important thing you can do in your personal and professional life.
If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
I would find more time for professional development. Fortunately, Mimecast offers so many workshops and training sessions to gain new professional skills so I am excited to take advantage of this. Emotional intelligence and self-awareness are two skills on which I am actively working.
