Biography and Background:
With over 18 years of experience in the IT Industry Sarah has focused on growing and helping business succeed in business transformation through software adoption, cost control and long term procurement strategies. With her extraordinary career, Sarah has an incredible depth of knowledge in Software Asset Management, Digital Strategies and Cyber Security.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
As the leader for the Licensing Contracts and Software Asset Management for Long View North America Sarah continues to innovate. The world of SAM. We have also been very excited to partner with new Software Technology companies throughout 2017 and look forward to working with more emerging technologies in 2018.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
SAM continues its rapid change to cloud and with ground breaking, disruptive technologies emerging the need for stability and best practices around SAM is obvious but under defined. With Sarah's vision Long View looks forward to providing guidance and expertise on licensing, compliance and adoption of these new technologies. Long View is excited to continue to engage with new customers across Canada and the US, solving new problems and growing strong relationships for the long term.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Ellen Gabriel, whose traditional name is Katsitsakwas, is an advocate for protecting the land and Indigenous rights. A defender of First Nations culture, so much to admire, I encourage everyone to reach more about her.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Don't waste time trying to fit in when you clearly stand out. You will determine your future, not the people you are or are not friends with today.

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
I would love to go deeper into Azure Machine Learning services and the The Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
Mindset by Carol Dweck an amazing book about motivation and ensuring you are aware of how your mindset often affects the outcome.
