Biography and Background:
I have been actively involved in the IT channel for nearly my entire career. I spent a number of years in IT Channel Marketing early on, shifted to Outside Sales calling on a diverse set of accounts including: CDW, Zones, HP, Best Buy, and Insight, and made the jump back to a leadership role in Channel Marketing about a year ago. I have been married for 8 years, and have a beautiful 5 year old daughter. I am Ohio born and raised, I cherish the Midwest values and the humbleness of my surroundings, but often miss the years we spent living in Chicago. I am a fitness enthusiast, spots junky, avid reader, and podcast lover.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Our largest focus has been on introducing Legrand to our IT Channel partners. While we are most often referred to as Cables To Go, Legrand gives us a new identity and gives major opportunity to our partners. In 2017, I helped execute our presence as Legrand at a few major events like Dell World and SYNNEX Inspire and am working to incorporate more of the Legrand messaging and products into the IT Channel.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
My goal for Legrand's IT Channel business is to continue desensitizing people to the Legrand family of products and position, as well as support our partner's initiatives around Data Center solutions. We are focusing even more in these arenas with the introduction of things like wall mount cabinets and open frame racks. We align well to the IT Channel players, and hope to scale our capabilities through tighter partnerships and value-added services.

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
I was fortunate to have been involved on a number of projects for which I was recognized: -Dell/EMC World - awarded by Legrand for my lead in organizing, orchestrating, and executing our 20x20 space representing many Legrand product lines like: Middle Atlantic, Wiremold, and Ortronics -Logitech Partnership - awarded by Legrand for my participation in the launch of new C2G companion products to Logitech teleconferencing solutions -SYNNEX Inspire - awarded by Legrand for my participation in executing our presence at their largest show of the year in a 30x40 space

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Carly Fiorina. I am currently reading her memoir and not only is she an influential women who made an impact on technology and this channel, but she is emphatic about her ideals and philanthropy. Her book has absolutely captivated me and motivated me to be a stronger professional, and given me foresight into things as a leader that I hadn't yet considered.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Take chances and don't stress. There is so much out there for you, but if you question every decision or worry about what's to come you will lose the power of that moment.

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
FINANCE EVERYTHING! I have a massive personal initiative this year to get a more in-depth understanding of the P&L and how executives make decisions. I feel comfortable about finance as it relates to my direct function, but need a broader understanding.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
"Ego Is the Enemy" by Ryan Holiday. This book was recommended to me by a close friend who runs an IT Channel Reseller. It is a great read for anyone dedicated to being the best version of them-self, a better teammate, or a better boss. This book compelled me to delete my Facebook and Instagram and re-invest in the things and humans I love, rather than focusing on myself.
