Biography and Background:
With more than 20 years of experience in the Telecommunication Alternate Channels industry, Lesley has received numerous honors, accolades and awards including a nomination in 2008 for CRN Channel Manager of the year. Her vast knowledge of the industry, professionalism and tenacity have allowed her to be successful in several leadership roles including a long tenure at AT&T Alliance Channel and in her current position as Vice President of Sales Operations at LAM Technology. As VP of Sales Operations at LAM, Lesley is responsible for managing a team who oversees all Sales Support, Sales Reporting, Professional Services, Streamlining Process and integrating new tools and platforms to ensure LAM remains on the forefront of innovation. Her knowledge, leadership and commitment to the success of those around her as well as LAM Technology position her as an outstanding candidate to be considered for the prestigious "The Power 100" award.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
In 2017, we expanded LAM Technology's portfolio of professional services to include "Billing Breakthrough" and "Contract Clarifier" services. These two programs have revolutionized how we go to market and better meet the needs of all our customers. Additionally, I have significantly increased our utilization of Salesforce.com to better leverage this platform as a way to manage our existing clients and prospects. This has allowed LAM to focus more resources on the Sales to Bill process and has significantly reduced revenue losses.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Our primary goal for 2018 goals is to extensively market our "Proven Process" concept to existing clients and prospects as a conduit to transitioning everything to the Cloud. My responsibilities include providing all the Sales Operations Support to ensure our clients have all what they need to make informed decisions and our Sales Team has the tools and resources available to allow them to meet/exceed our 2018 Sales goals.

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
Out of more than 3,000 Partners in Intelisys' Portfolio, LAM Technology was honored to receive their prestigious "Fastest Growing Partner" award in 2017.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Former First Lady, Michelle Obama. I admire Michelle Obama as she is an incredibly kind and genuine lady who motivates and inspires those around her and handles herself with true grace and dignity under pressure. I also fully support her commitment to the education and well-being of all girls.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
There are so many things I know now that would have probably made life a bit easier as a teenager but I doubt I would have listened to them at the time. With that being said, I think the most important would be to trust my instincts, don't be afraid to advocate for the things I'm truly passionate about and always be kind to those around me as you never know what's going on in their lives.

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
I would like to spend more time networking and mentoring. Although these are both important activities, the "fires" of the moment often take priority at the end of the day. I'd talk to more people who have a similar role, or at the "C" level to learn what has made them successful. I've also started mentoring some newer employees which has been rewarding, and I'm learning from them as well.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
The Poisonwood Bible - I love Barbara Kingsolver's ability to tell a story and it is beautifully written. The story dances between hope and tragedy as it is a gut-wrenching tale of the human spirit while learning about the Conga in 1950's. I could relate to the family at the center of the story by visualizing my Grandmother in the storyline. The focus on how much the environment shapes our thoughts and beliefs was truly fascinating.
