Biography and Background:
Cheri is the Director of North America Channels Marketing and is responsible for accelerating demand generation across the HPE portfolio including services, compute, networking, cloud and converged systems. She drives the marketing strategy and execution to, through and with HPE's partners, develops strong partnerships that amplify our joint marketing in key industry segments. Prior to her current assignment, she successfully led the growth and expansion of the company's alliances marketing plans and has served in other leadership positions at Hewlett Packard in both field and global positions.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Amplify our voice: Led with key stakeholders the expansion of HPE's presence on CRN.com, leveraging the powerful partner network, creating HPE zone that is now a staple for HPE in the US, and exceeding benchmarks. Partner Marketing Expertise: Mentoring and coaching channel marketer's positioning HPE's marketing excellence, sponsoring and in collaboration with key stakeholders grew a Digital marketing network of 100+ partners, double-digit growth in North America. Innovate: Delivered marketing program innovation & know-how via sales enablement appointment setting and customer nurturing blitz days - resulting in immediate customer appointments and rave reviews from our partners.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Deliver marketing excellence to, through and with our partners. Accelerate demand generation (increase pipeline) Grow HPE footprint through innovation and Partner First marketing programs

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
As the former editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair and The New Yorker, Tina Brown resurrected fledgling publications and transformed them into media powerhouses. Always evolving, she launched The Daily Beast and Talk Magazine and then went on to found Women in the World where she created a platform for global women to share experiences and have their voices heard on a global scale

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Don't follow the crowd -- YOU were born to lead. Study Abroad - you will experience diversity, see the world, and bring new perspectives on culture that drives the willingness to learn. Be humble - but take the spotlight when you can Don't sell yourself short Count your blessings - and be aggressively polite. You will always regret not taking a chance -- push yourself beyond your comfort zone

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
Become Multilingual - Multiple languages = multiple perspectives and addresses the needs of the growing multilingual customer base.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
Creative Quest -- it speaks to how talent meets opportunity and to trust your intuition and your own creativity sometimes without much advanced preparation
