Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Considering the recent events, I must recognize the impressive young women (and men) from Stoneham Douglas High School in Parkland, FL. Regardless of one's political opinions, it is inspiring to see young students stand up and fight for what they believe in with such articulation, passion and strength. They have changed the conversation, asked the tough questions and pushed for change. Being able to find their voice through such tragedy is an act that deserves recognition and admiration.
What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Travel more! Use this time in your life to discover more about the world and different cultures. And as a result, you will learn more about yourself.
If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
Since most of my career has been in marketing and sales in larger B2B (business to business) companies, I'd like to learn the complete opposite industry - B2C. I would love to broaden my marketing experience to better understand marketing strategies and tactics for successful B2C companies. The fast pace and creative environment would be extremely rewarding and educational.
What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
Emily Post 'Wedding Etiquette'! As I'm planning my wedding in New England, I received this book as a gift from my very southern mother. I shared with her some ideas to personalize our wedding that were apparently very non-traditional. Needless to say, I received the book in the mail two days later. I laugh about it now. That was her way of expressing her desire for more traditional elements. Even still, I've enjoyed learning the history and background of our traditions. But, I'm not sure it accomplished her goal! We're still moving forward with more modern ideas touches.thanks anyway, mom!
