How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
I joined erwin 2 months ago. In this new role, I am leveraging my experience in building software companies and partner relationships. The channel is key to any new company's success and partners are front and center of our sales strategy. In addition, I am leveraging my expertise in the channel to expand our reach into our global accounts.
What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
erwin is a Data Governance Company and a brand new opportunity for partners to add value to their customers' business by developing solutions to manage their company's most important asset "Data." As part of our overall channel strategy, we will work with partners to expand our footprint and work with our field sales organization to go deep and wide in our Global Accounts.
What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Oprah Winfrey continues to inspire and amaze me with her continuous innovation and development of her personal brand and her ability to make change. She stands up for what she believes in and her relentless drive to make the world a better place.
What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Do not second guess yourself, go with your gut. Be open to taking advice and expand your group of friends. Take advantage of all opportunities presented to you to learn. You do not have to be liked everyone else, be who you are.
If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
Forging stronger relationships horizontally with colleagues outside of my immediate area of responsibility. Everyone within the company is a team working towards one goal. By building these types relationships it will allow myself and my team to leverage internal expertise that we do not have. And, vice versa, having other team members understand my organization and the benefits of working as one team. Even though everyone is busy, this is super important to our success.
What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
Mom.B.A written by Karyn Schoenbart. It's an insider's guide to career success based on Schoenbart's "lessons" to her daughter. After reading the book, it made me re-evaluate where I was in my career and validated who I am, and where I want to go. In addition to pragmatic and real-world examples of how to build and run a Global Organization, it was a wake-up call to me to re-evaluate what I was doing. It ultimately led to me joining erwin to fulfill my goals to own, build, and the be the leader that I know I can be.
