Biography and Background:
As VP of Finance and Operations for the past 15 years, Christine oversees all corporate, finance and accounting matters and manages human resources as well as the support team. She has been the team lead for the incorporation of our new financial and order system, payroll recording and our newly implemented project management software. During her tenure with American Digital, Christine has been an integral part of running our back-office and our daily operational success. Prior to her current role, Christine spent 5 years at Avnet, Inc. where she supported their local, regional and global executive staff. Her career in office administration began in the Healthcare industry at a long-term care facility where she was the Director of Operations and managed several departments. Christine graduated in 1994 with a B.S. degree from Western Illinois University.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Yes, I have been single handedly responsible for organizing our processes and procedures to further our channel business primarily our Managed Services for the Fortune 2000. In 2017 alone, our Managed Services practice grew by 75%. In a time where Sales and Marketing are the face of American Digital, I am the person that ensures our customers are our first priority. In addition, I've worked with our executive team to ensure our business has remained relevant to our partners and clients over the past 15 years. American Digital has been on the CRN Top 500 Solution Providers list for more than 10 years. We have also been named a Top Healthcare Solutions provider and been part of the CRN Tech Elite 250.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Attain and Retain. Our client base, which includes leaders in the higher ed, healthcare and manufacturing sectors turn to us for our unique and custom approach to managing their IT environments. Although keeping our current client base is a priority, so is working to find new clients. As the financial lead at American Digital, I understand the language of procurement and finance and I intend to help construct our corporate message in a way that drives business from the operations LOB.

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
I was executive of the year in 2017. 2017 was an amazing year during which I rolled out a new ERP/CRM Solution, Employee Training Platform, Expense Management System, and Human Resources Tool. All of these systems were integral in ensuring our processes and procedures ran smoothly and our clients were provided the highest level of support.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
The world is full of many powerful and courageous woman who over time have broken ceilings, boundaries and political and cultural norms. The everyday woman inspires. I admire my neighbor. For years, I have watched her struggle through the typical routine of a working mother. Getting children ready and on the bus with the added pressure of caring for a special needs child. Everything she does is with ease. What is most interesting is she lives a lifetime every morning before she starts her day as an executive level manager with hundreds of direct reports managing billions in global assets. Above all, her ability to read me and know exactly when I need that positive text or note indicates she is the most well rounded woman I know.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Do not always listen to authority. Sitting in the High School counselor's office as he told me "college is not for you" was a moment in time I will not forget. For the rest of my High school career I took his word as the truth. Months later as friends were getting ready to head to college; I decided someone else should not determine my fate. I found my paper college applications and feverously got to work and two weeks later found myself at Western Illinois University.

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
This year I am challenging myself to understand and embrace the new workforce. Time really does go as fast as a blink of the eye. I feel as though I was just the "new workforce." My mentorwho was and still is traditional was also a forward thinker and allowed me to be me. I am challenging myself to not put our younger and talented teammates in a square peg when they are clearly round. This up and coming workforce has skills that I do not, but they cannot be learned with a closed mind..

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
In my attempt to further my skills as a team lead and partner at my company I have a tendency to read many books from the self-help section since I find human personality traits so very interesting. "How to Raise an Adult" by Julie Lythcott-Haims is one of my recent favorites. It gave me a glimpse into my own parenting style and provided some understanding into my teenager's world. Very quickly, these teenagers will be the new workforce and leaders of this planet, again opening my eyes to skills I will need in order to be an effective contributor to my organization.
