Biography and Background:
I started my career in customer service, then both direct and channel sales which I believe is one of my biggest strengths as a marketer. I have had the good fortune of working in a variety of different marketing roles (product, partner, field and marcom) both customer and business facing at companies such as AT&T, NEC, VMware and now AWS. Now with over 15 years of partner marketing experience, the breadth of knowledge I have gained has really helped me understand the challenges facing all type of partners. This has helped me guide them in this new digital world as IT goes through another historic transformation including Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and IoT. I am happily married to an amazing man who supports me and my career and is a true partner in raising our 2 vivacious boys. I am actively involved in my church where I am a religious education volunteer and an active member of the Boy Scouts of America sitting on our local Pack Committee.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
In 2017, I built out a global support model for the partner marketing organization to help the global strategic integrators and influencers increase their enterprise customer adoption along with increasing their leadership positions in the market. We have helped APN Consulting Partners grow the AWS revenue they generated by over 100% Y/Y by creating integrated campaigns, thought leadership pieces and awareness campaigns focused on our enterprise customer's IT transformation journeys.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
My goal is to help our new Influencer partners understand the true impact that AWS can bring to the enterprise market and the impact these new tools can have on the businesses bottom line. With over 1,400 new features and services launched in 2017, AWS continues to innovate to help our customers transform quickly and with the tools they want and need.

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
In 2017, I was awarded a promotion to the Head of Strategic Partner Marketing by AWS Leadership. This promotion was in recognition of the impact I had on the business (in addition to assuming broader responsibility). I feel honored to have my contributions recognized and look forward to making an even greater impact this year. I also was recognized by Women of the Channel 2017.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
In a world where work and life is never balanced, especially for a women, I have really enjoyed following the Mom Project created by Allison Robinson. She saw a need for a talent marketplace to bridge the gap between employers looking for talent and educated mothers looking for meaningful work.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Be brave and confident. Take big risk. It's OK if you fail. Always learn from your mistakes. Don't hold back. Speak your mind. Always fight for yourself and others.

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
I would like to learn how to build out websites. There are so many times in my career where I have asked for a small update to be made and have had to wait for my request to be reviewed, prioritized and put into a que. I would like to just go in and get it done in real time.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
* I keep "The Wisdom of Sunday's, Life-Changing Insights from Super Soul Conversations" by Oprah Winfrey by my bed. After a long day, I open this up and read one short story. This really helps me gain perspective on what is important in my life.
