We have seen a 61% increase in engagement on LinkedIn, Our increase in twitter engagement was 113% this year. With these social efforts we have seen an increase of incoming leads. In addition, I have headed up a push to create a new website and SEO strategy for Comport. Our SEM and SEO efforts are leading to increased exposure for the company. Finally, I am continuing to create a content strategy that has led to increased conversion rates and overall website visit increase as well. What this leads to is brand exposure for the company as well as new source of revenue.
What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Comport Technology Solutions is looking to expand our managed services offerings from BaaS and DRaaS to Private Cloud Hosting, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and End User Support for better customer support in a cloud dominated technology environment. Comport also continues to expand to our traditional offerings investing in new technologies such as hyperconverged and composable infrastructures.
What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
Since I am in the first year of a new company, I have not applied nor received any new awards however, I have received many accolades from the HPE, Veeam and Commvault marketing teams for turning around our social media and digital avenues.
Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I admire Meg Whitman for not only growing the HPE/HP Inc business but understanding her corporate environment and making wise decisions for the continued future of the company. Unlike some of the previous leaders of HP, she wasn't afraid to make tough decisions and acquire companies that were questionable but inevitably lead to a sustainable corporate strategy. In my opinion, she pioneered the hybrid strategy for them that will lead them into the future. She also lead with a tablet strategy, something that other HP Inc. executives were afraid to do in the past.
What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Take risks early in life but listen to the advice of your elders! You don't know everything, and you can always learn from knowledgeable people. Don't underestimate anyone take advice from the janitor and the business owner because they all have different life experiences.
If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
I think marketing "gold" is currently getting your content to go "viral" though this tends to be luck combined with skill. I am constantly looking to optimize our Social Media and SEO to see if I can make that one piece of viral content!
What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
This year I read Brusier, I liked this book because it was about two kids who gave an outcast a chance and ended up learning more from him then they ever imagined. It makes you think of those in your life that have influenced you and how you sometimes don't realize it until much later in life.
