How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Michelle's biggest contribution in 2017 was her role in the acquisition of another Saint Louis Managed Service Provider. Michelle the critical player in due diligence of the financials, and negotiations for purchase. After acquisition, Michelle contributed largely to initial contact with new clients, and combining and merging critical information from the acquired company's systems to CMIT's systems.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
As a result of the acquisition we acquired a fair number of clients. We have a couple goals in regards to those new clients and some existing clients. First is a gap analysis of services provided to acquired clients. We want to fill in any glaring holes which put those clients at a security risk. Our second goal is to analyze clients in comparison to our target client profile, and determine the best course of action for each and every client.

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
We were highlighted as a success story by the Northwest Chamber of Commerce. Our Charter Representative, also a member of the chamber, introduced us to the owner of the company we acquired.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I really admire Taylor Swift. Not only because she is a good role model, that is humble, and really loves her fans, but because she worked hard, thought outside the box, and turned a dream into reality. She constantly pushes herself to be the best.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
To be confident, and respect myself. That every decision, success and failure are all related to how you feel about yourself. If you love yourself, and live with confidence, then your choices are going to reflect that. This is the key to living a happy life.

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
I definitely want to master writing. For years I wrote software code, I still do, and I am good at it. Ask me to write an article or blog posting and I dread it.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
Profit First by Mike Michalowicz because it taught me to focus on tasks that make money, and eliminate unnecessary tasks that have little to no effect on the bottom line.
