How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
I lead my company and drive sales for our business. I market and sell IT-related services and solutions for our clients and businesses in the Rochester NY area. I determine which solutions we will carry and package them to grow our participation in the channel. I choose which vendors we partner with to bring these solutions to the market.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
We are looking to drive significant growth in our business over the next year -with a 20% growth planned in our core business of managed IT services. A key element of our plan for growth is to strengthen our channel partnership relationships.

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
Franchise of the Month, August, CMIT Solutions Received for achieving a record month in revenue and for the leadership and values I present with my fellow franchisees.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Ginny Nacy, retired -formerly owner of Toddler's Workshop. Ginny ran a very successful business and did so while holding on to her values. She earned an award as an Ethical business and was nationally honored. I watched her deal with personal issues that may have made many just quit, but she always perseveres and learns from these experiences - then goes out and excels in whatever she has passion for.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Have more confidence -you know your stuff. Don't be afraid to speak up.

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
Search engine optimization. I have a marketing background and it has served me well as a business owner. I'm active with technology. Yet, I don't have a clear understanding of how to best drive people to our website and even more importantly to our business from that site (or from the Internet in general). I think I know some things and I know I need experts to help guide me -but I find it challenging to know who really knows what they are talking about and can really help us be more successful with this medium.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
Traction - a great reminder of the need for goals and then breaking those goals into actionable "rocks."
