Biography and Background:
Born and raised in Columbus, I have more than 28 years of experience in design, sales and marketing. In addition to owning and operating CMIT Solutions of Columbus with my husband Marty, I am the owner of my own interior design firm, Interior Insights Inc. With my experience owning a small business myself, I have experienced firsthand the need for reliable IT services for small and medium size businesses in the Columbus area. I know the value of relationships, customer service and the value of support that comes from working with other local businesses. I insure clients satisfaction by achieving their vision and exceeding all expectations.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
I have worked closely with various networking groups such as the Columbus chamber of commerce, Business Network International, and local organizations to help market CMIT Solutions to the local community. We work closely with our home office sending emails, flyers and magazines to our friends, clients and businesses to let them know about our company. We also have emails we refer to as "Quick Tips" that help those at home and at the office.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
We manage IT so companies don't have to. Think about that for a moment. What else could you be doing? What is the opportunity cost to your business when IT is neglected or worse? Managing IT requires expertise and an attention to detail. It's more than a profession or skill, it's a practice. At CMIT Solutions, it's both our passion and purpose. My goal is to make companies believe we can do that for them!

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
CMIT Solutions of Columbus won Franchise of the month July 2017 and has been featured in the Columbus Ledger Enquirer in August of 2017.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
When asked this question, my mind went to my family who inspires me in so many ways. Outside of my family, I have always admired my youth minister who inspired me to be the best woman of Christ that I could be.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
To reach for the stars and never settle. Trust in your heart and always listen to God. You may not understand his plan for you but listen with a open heart and follow the path he has before you. Believe in yourself and know you are a blessing.

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
I would love to master the skill to make people believe in me when I tell them our company is like no other. We mean what we say and say what we mean. There are some great IT companies in Columbus that do a good job but I truly feel we do a GREAT JOB.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
"The E Myth Revisited" was an amazing book that kept me engaged in the business world.
