Biography and Background:
Laura Burdine is the Sales Operations Manager at ADAPTURE, a 2017 CRN Triple Crown Winner. She is responsible for all day-to-day operations, working closely with sales representatives, channel partners, distributors, and senior leadership to ensure exceptional service delivery and manage strategic relationships. Burdine is a native of Kingsport, Tennessee. She studied logistics and marketing at the University of Tennessee and has worked in IT operations for 10 years. She is proficient in managing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics CRM and is the primary administrator for the ADAPTURE system. Her work has transformed internal operational processes, enabling clearer and more efficient communications with all channel partners and a higher level of executive insight. She is a pillar of the organization and consistently demonstrates a committed level of operational leadership. Outside work, Burdine enjoys spending time with her family and participating in volunteer activities that benefit combat veterans and animal welfare organizations.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
In addition to her day-to-day operational responsibilities Burdine assumed responsibility for managing and customizing the ADAPTURE CRM system, which is the hub of all company sales and marketing activity. Her efforts have greatly improved interdepartmental communication, partner relations, and executive reporting - enabling senior leadership with the data required for more strategic decision making. The ADAPTURE sales team depends on Burdine's consistently exceptional level of work and attention to detail. Her work with the marketing team has enabled more efficient outbound processes and greatly increased top-of-the-funnel sales activity. Burdine also assumed responsibility for maintaining our partner levels with all strategic channel partners and has worked very closely with representatives at the manufacturer and distributor levels to grow these relationships. Her efforts were instrumental to our channel growth - particularly in the enterprise networking space.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Burdine's goal is to continue the company's push for increased channel growth in the networking, cloud, and security spaces. She has also laid out an extensive plan for further improving operational processes through the company CRM system. These plans include changes to sales development, marketing campaign and MDF tracking, opportunity workflow, renewals, and high-level account management. She will also be overseeing the company's deployment of Project Service Automation for Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

What honors, awards, or commendations have you won over the past year?
Burdine was named to the 2017 CRN Women of the Channel list. In addition, ADAPTURE received CRN Triple Crown honors, earning a spot on the Solution Provider 500, Fast Growth 150, and Tech Elite 250. ADAPTURE was also named one of the fastest growing companies in Atlanta by both the ACG and the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The company also made its debut on the Inc. 5000.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
My friend, Keri Potts, she's such an incredible woman. Keri is a senior communications leader at ESPN, and a phenomenal advocate for women. As an outspoken survivor of sexual assault, she has used her platform to give a voice to countless survivors and honored their stories with her strength and perseverance.

What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
Use more anti-wrinkle cream and listen to your parents!

If you could master any new job-related skill, what would it be and why?
Any career in operations will begin with a lot of day-to-day tactical, ground-level work. As my career as progressed and I have grown in my role, I have taken on much more strategic responsibilities. My goal this year is to grow stronger in my ability to effectively communicate a strategic vision and roadmap, so that I can help my team members achieved our collective goals.

What's the best book you read this past year and why did you like it?
I am in the middle of reading 'Sisters First' by Barbara Bush and Jenna Bush Hager. I am one of three sisters, and I have really enjoyed reading about the Bush sisters and their experiences growing up under such an intense spotlight. Even though my sisters and I didn't grow up in the White House, we still find their stories so relatable and funny.
