Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Carla Harris of Morgan Stanley. I have attended several events where I listened to her powerful presentation. She has helped me put a few of my experiences into perspective. I agree with her "collegial" approach to business, and it works!
What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Think outside the box, embrace change and stay ahead of curve. The market is always evolving and you need to be creative to be successful. It is very important to communicate your ideas and share information with your team and management. You want everyone to understand your vision and can help you reach your goals. In sales, people want to partner with people they enjoy working with. You have to develop a relationship and add value to your customers and then you are always given an opportunity to win the business.
If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
I would like to be "The Martian" and live in space for a day. I am a people person, so I could only handle being by myself in space for a short period of time, but I would love the opportunity to travel the world and visit the Mars and the moon.
If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
The Galapagos Islands, which is not a city, but a chain of islands off the coast of Ecuador. I would like the opportunity to see all the wildlife and explore the beauty of each island.
