Biography and Background:
Laura Burdine is the Sales Operations Manager at ADAPTURE, one of the fastest growing solution providers in North America. A technology veteran of 9 years, Burdine works closely with channel partners to ensure strategic alignment with the ADAPTURE sales team to drive revenue growth and enhance client experience. With a strong background in business operations and logistics for technology companies, Burdine understands client and partner needs on an operational level. She leverages her analytical skills, creative problem solving abilities, and diverse technical talents to provide critical insight and sales operations leadership. ADAPTURE clients and partners appreciate working with Laura and depend on her to be on hand, forthcoming, and flexible. She is a reliable resource for our channel partners, who depend on her leadership, communication alignment with sales teams, and commitment to strategic revenue growth. Burdine's areas of expertise include: customer experience management, trade and logistics, CRM software, accounting, sales augmentation and support, channel partner alignment, and lead generation. How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
I have been at ADAPTURE for 4 years, and in that time, I have watched the company grow into a multi-million dollar solution provider. I take a lot of pride in the contributions I have made, especially over the last year. I was directly involved with several strategic process improvements that enabled our sales team to operate more effectively and efficiently. We made significant updates to our internal CRM processes, and I stepped into the role of managing the solution. As a result, we are able to look critically at our business intelligence data to make more strategic decisions around partner alignment. I also manage our specific partner certifications to ensure we maintain and grow our level of expertise within each partnership. I truly believe partner alignment to be a two-way street, and I ensure that ADAPTURE fulfills its commits to our valued channel partners.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
My goals center on continuing to develop our strategic partnerships and drive revenue growth. I will focus on further process improvement and streamlined communications among our sales team, our professional services team, our partners, and our valued clients. By improving operations, we will position ourselves to more effectively address client challenges. We are a rapidly growing solution provider, and as such, a commitment to operational excellence will be critical as we scale the business.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
ADAPTURE appeared on the CRN Solution Provider 500. We also placed 4th on the CRN Fast Growth 150. Additionally, we placed 4th on the ACG Fast 40, a list ranking the fastest-growing private companies in Atlanta. We were also named to the Atlanta Business Chronicle's list of "Pacesetters," and we are on the 2017 CRN Tech Elite 250.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
As a woman and UT grad, I greatly admire Pat Summit. She was a pioneer whose influence inspired so many people outside of women's basketball. She remained positive in the face of a devastating terminal diagnosis and was a pillar of strength for those around her.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
My advice is do it! Be ready for any challenge. The technology business is very exciting and constantly evolving. Be ready for anything, and learn as much as you can, however you can. Always be a team player, be willing to take on new challenges (even if you don't know what you're doing), figure it out as you go, and don't be afraid to ask questions.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
I would be Veronica Corningstone from Anchorman, because that is one of my favorite movies and I would spend the entire day laughing. Plus I would be able to hang out with Will Ferrell, and that would be awesome!

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I would visit Athens, Greece. I hear it's gorgeous, and the history there is amazing. It's also a special place, because my father, who is a retired Colonel in the USMC, was deployed to Beirut when my older sister was born. The Marine Corps flew my mother and my 6-week-old sister to Greece so they could see my dad and he could meet his daughter for the first time.
