How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
During this past year, Zumasys implemented a variety of different project types and offered new solutions to our clients. As Director of Project Management, I worked on streamlining these projects to provide the company with a framework to become more efficient in the implementation of these new offerings. As efficiency continued to increase, so did our profits and comfort with these new projects. These projects assisted in the growth of our software sales, infrastructure solutions, and recurring revenue. In addition, I have been an integral part to key internal strategic projects including: creating a process to capture licensing utilized by our clients, moving our hosted clients to an updated platform, improve our overall customer experience. In addition, I worked with the projects team to actively work on building the PMO and ProServices teams within Zumasys. The PMO has become a team in which other departments consistently look to for leadership and guidance.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
The corporate goals are to grow the sales of our Enterprise IT Infrastructure solutions, increase our software sales revenue and to continue to improve our recurring revenue growth by 20% each year, and to improve the customer experience. In order to achieve these goals, Zumasys strives to build personal connections with our clients, deliver products that we are proud of, and adhere to the unique company culture.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
For the last two years (2015-2016) I received the President's Club award at Zumasys. President's Club is a program in which top performers of each department are rewarded for the work they have done. The executive team decides upon the nominations and chooses the recipients each year.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Amelia Earhart was a fascinating woman who dared to be different and lived life to the fullest. She was not afraid of trying something new and then going after it - even if it meant forging ahead into the unknown. Her spirit is a constant reminder of someone who I strive to be each day.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Try everything that interests you. Keep an open mind as to what may come your way. You may learn that you are more suited for certain tasks than others and enjoy items that you didn't think that you would at first. Focus on your strengths and hone those skills to help propel you forward.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Karen Blixen from Out of Africa. This is a story about a woman who transformed herself from a society wife to a courageous individual who worked to save the lives of many workers who lived on her lands. Despite the hurdles that she faced, she persevered and made a difference in the lives of those around her, not to mention the rest of the world. She has been an inspiration for me to strive to be better, help others, do more with our lives, and make a difference.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I would love to visit Reykjavik in Iceland. Iceland seems to have a lot to offer and explore, not to mention seeing the Northern Lights is a bucket list item of mine. I also think exploring the ice caves would be amazing as they are the only place in the world that has them. It is a different place than I've been before but I would love to explore what it has to offer and learn about new cultures and activities.
