How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
The past year has been a very exciting one at ADAPTURE, as we welcomed new clients and partners and enjoyed continued growth. I am very proud of my contributions to the advancement of our channel business, and I view my role as key to our channel alignment and sales enablement initiatives. Over the last year, I spearheaded the relaunch and restructuring of our internal CRM processes. We made great strides in our ability to market to our contact base more effectively and increase our demand generation efforts, bringing more value to our channel partners. The success of this project had a ripple effect across the organization - it also improved our sales operations, account management, project management, and high-level reporting functions. I also expanded the reach of our messaging through a strong attention to public and media relations, working actively to lend our insight to journalists from several leading trades and enhancing the credibility of our brand. Additionally, I focused heavily on our content strategy, aligning our thought leadership messaging with solutions from our leading partners. As a result, we have seen an increase in inbound leads, which is influencing the next phase of our business development planning.
What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Over the next year, our goals center on business development and continued growth. We're actively working both internally and with our channel partners to develop strategies around lead generation and inbound marketing. We aim to align our intellectual capital with the strength of our leading channel partners and further develop our own resources. Additionally, we will continue to lend the talents of our technical resources and our veteran account management team to drive revenue growth for our partners. Our goal is to put ADAPTURE in the best possible position to serve our clients and solve their most complex IT challenges.
What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
I was honored with a spot on the 2016 CRN WOTC list, and as exciting as that was for me personally, I was even more thrilled to share several professional honors this year with the entire team at ADAPTURE. We made our debut on the CRN Solution Provider 500, and we placed 4th on the CRN Fast Growth 150. We also placed 4th on the ACG Fast 40, a list ranking the fastest-growing private companies in Atlanta. We were also named to the Atlanta Business Chronicle's list of "Pacesetters," and we are featured on the 2017 CRN Tech Elite 250.
Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I am a big Brene Brown fan. I had the opportunity to hear her speak live at a conference back in 2015, and it was a game-changer for me. I immediately soaked up her lessons - and I am especially inspired by the way she is a living example of her own philosophy. Because of her lessons, I learned that there is strength and bravery in vulnerability - this is a paradox I would have never considered were it not for her, but I have found it to be the secret to personal fulfillment in this season of my life.
What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
As it specifically relates to beginning a career in technology, my best advice is to read every day and learn the industry. Stay on top of the latest news. You should anticipate change and roll with it, and the best way to build resilience is to gain insight. Commit time every day to reading, join industry related social networks, participate actively in discussions, and ask a lot of questions!
If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
I love all things Disney, so I have to go with Elsa from Frozen so I could sing like Idina Menzel and make my own clothes just by waving my hands around.
If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I would travel to the Lapland province in Finland because I recently discovered that I have ancestors from Finland who emigrated to the United States five generations ago. I would love to go on an ancestral journey and learn more about that side of my family tree. I would also love to see the Northern Lights!
