Biography and Background:
Kay Stewart is currently Director of Distribution and Channel Operations at Panasonic System Communications Company of North America for Mobility, focused on Toughbook, Toughpad and Rugged Handheld portfolio of products. Kay has responsibility for Distribution and Channel operations including managing all aspects of Distribution as well as all Channel programs and operational activities. Kay's career began with A&T Wireless holding various sales and management roles; upon leaving ATTW in 2000 Kay moved into sales at Panasonic selling products and services and advanced her career into upper management. She has completed senior management Japanese business programs, senior leadership programs and received numerous achievement awards while at Panasonic.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
(200 words max)* During 2016 we reinvested in our channel by launching a new partner program which includes a MDF program, developed a new channel support team focused on enabling our resellers and expanded a focused distributor team. In addition, we engaged our top tier resellers with the global Panasonic leadership team.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Demonstrate channel commitment to our distributors and resellers by continuing to enhance our channel programs and improving operational efficiencies.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
My colleague and mentor, Victoria Obenshain, Vice President of Wireless at Panasonic. She is an amazing person --highly respected in the global technology industry, intelligent, talented, confident and possesses strong leadership qualities. Victoria is open-minded, honest, and unique. She is a person of integrity, very resilient and relationship focused. And, she has a great golf game!

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Be open to new opportunities and taking risks; be comfortable and confident in your own skin and be laser-focused on delivering great results every single time. Don't be afraid to ask for big assignments and be able to articulate your value; seek out a successful mentor(s) and a good business coach.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
A female James Bond! She is witty, has the coolest cars, gadgets and drinks and is the ultimate secret agent spy! She possesses confidence, strength and dominating technologies and knows how to handle a weapon. And, she has incredible clothes, shoes and always has a back-up plan and she always wins!

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
Newcastle, Northern Ireland, to play Royal County Down Golf Club followed by Portush, Northern Ireland and Ballybunion; why----- to play the top golf courses in Ireland.
