How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
I'm proud to play a role in the success of Salesforce's Partner Program, which has continued to grow as the largest and longest-running "born in the cloud" partner program in the industry. Last year, Salesforce celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the AppExchange, and the exciting milestone of surpassing 4 million installs. Over the past year, I've been dedicated to the success of our ISV partners, as well as partners who are helping Salesforce expand into key verticals such as healthcare, retail, and financial services. Last year, I played an instrumental role in developing enhancements to our partner program, which included new enablement programs, new technology benefits, and additional marketing support and learning opportunities. This is an incredible time for our ecosystem as it continues to grow at a rapid pace and at Salesforce, we are constantly looking for ways to improve the experience for our existing community by incorporating feedback from our partners, customers, analysts and others. We are currently focused on turning this feedback into updates for our ISV partners that will be announced later this year.
What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
According to IDC, Salesforce and its ecosystem of customers and partners will drive nearly 1.9 million jobs and more than $389 billion in new GDP impact worldwide by 2020. In addition, last year, Salesforce ISV partners reported an average increase of 46% in new leads, 55% in new customers and 55% in revenue by listing on the AppExchange. Over the next year, we hope to increase these numbers and provide our partners with even more opportunities, as well as give them the tools they need to grow and succeed.
What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I admire Rosa Parks. She stood up for what she believes is right, in the face of great adversity and personal loss. If we all don't stand up for what we know is right, even in times when there seems to be no hope, the world will never be a better place.
What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Always looks for ways to solve for gaps or problems, however don't take on the weight of the problem as your own, you don't need to own it's creation, just solving for it. Being a team player, doesn't mean you forget about yourself and your value in the process. Fight for yourself, but balance that with humility and appreciation for all the people around you.
If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Princess Leia, she represents a fight for what is good, a strength to overcome, a focus on what is right, a tomboy attitude and an amazing amount of grace and femininity.
If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
Galapagos Islands and I would go scuba diving.
