Biography and Background:
Stefanie Ryan is a passionate channel marketing leader, focused on partner success in the high technology industry. With a background in sales, telecommunications, cloud, and networking, she has been integrated with the channel for more than half a decade. Stefanie is always on the lookout for fresh ideas to help partners increase their revenue streams. She thrives in the world of developing strategies for channel expansion and marketing. Her accomplishments include building brand awareness, demand generation campaigns, product thought leadership, and forward-thinking strategic approaches for the channel. Prior to joining the Aryaka team as their Head of Strategic Channel Marketing during 2016, Stefanie served as the Director of Marketing for cloud services provider, RapidScale, for over 4 years. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine and her MBA, with a focus on Marketing, from Washington State University.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Aryaka has put a major focus on growing its channel program over the last two years. The growth in acceptance from the channel has been astronomical, moving Aryaka's channel revenue from around 15% in early 2015 to over 70% during 2016. Since I joined the company in 2016, some of the major items I've worked on include building Aryaka's brand and messaging for a channel audience. We have been able to develop and execute on a plan that provides awareness, partner support, leads, MDF programs, and more. Some of the specific contributions include the development of our sales and channel enablement content, such as selling guides, battlecards, and other quick guides to get partners up and running as quickly as possible. I've also developed a partner MDF program that provides funding to partners for co-marketing activities including events, collateral, promotions, and more. Aryaka has also tested lead distribution programs with select partners to help build our partner's brands as well as provide a more holistic sales and support approach to our customers.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
The goal for Aryaka is to continue to expand the partner program through developing existing and new partners. We want to focus on a "sell-with" model, providing our partners with marketing support, demand generation support, and sales support. My goals include furthering our brand recognition and understanding in the channel. Improving and developing our marketing initiatives such as MDF, co-branding, SPIFFs, demand generation campaigns, and lead-share programs, we continue moving Aryaka to a 100% channel-driven business.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
A woman that I have deep admiration for is Ruth Bader Ginsberg, who is a US Supreme Court Justice. Not only is she strong, but she has defied many odds to be one of only four women to ever serve on the Supreme Court in a long history of male-driven justices. During her life, she not only was a mother, but she had an incredible work-life balance that allowed her to enjoy her family life as well as massive success in her professional life and achieve one of the most honorable titles in US government.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
In technology or any other field, there is nothing that should ever stop you from pursuing your dreams or your goals. Technology is a space with a tremendous amount of opportunity that can be capitalized by anyone, including women. Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and learn about a new technology you don't already know about.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
I would be Wonder Woman. Mostly because then I could fly, and who doesn't want the ability to fly over traffic!?

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I would travel to the Galapagos Islands first and foremost to see the nature and beauty of the islands. But, it would also be fascinating to see all of the animals that Darwin studied as well as see animals that do not live anywhere else on this planet.
