As Director of Channel Marketing, Darci is responsible for the development and execution of strategic programs and marketing across direct and indirect channels. She supports a comprehensive IT and Mobile product portfolio with a focus on serving customers - from SMB to enterprise - in a variety of key vertical markets. Darci and her team provide the programs, support and marketing resources that drive collaborative partner growth in an ever-changing and competitive channel environment. Before Samsung, Darci spent 11 years with a premier retail company headquartered in NJ. She started her career in customer experience development and purchasing, supporting the company's national retail locations and wholesale distribution center. Darci spearheaded the development and launch of the company's first ecommerce website, which led to exponential growth in a market that increased at a fraction of that rate over the next five years. At the time of this submission, Darci is currently on maternity leave with her newborn boy-girl twins, Jackson and Avery. In her spare time, she enjoys playing sports, running and exercising, riding her motorcycle, spending time with her husband and friends, and experiencing a new reality as a working mom!

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Over the past year, I have led initiatives to help our partners grow their profitability and generate their own demand while building a framework that will enable us to funnel more qualified leads through our channel partners. I led the development of a fully customized and dynamic learning management platform that builds our partners' knowledge base and keeps them fully engaged as Samsung partners so that they can build opportunities and win business with our products and solutions. I also spearheaded a restructuring of our MDF and marketing concierge programs to better align partner support with our recent investments. These changes will drive mutual growth across our unique IT and Mobile business units.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
My goal is to enhance partner engagement and improve partner profitability. To do that, we will simplify platforms, energize knowledge transfer, build a pipeline of qualified leads that will pass through the channel, and enable channel partners to drive their own demand.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
1. Samsung Business Innovation Award 2. Samsung Business Standing Ovation Award - This peer nominated award is given to an individual who has exemplified extraordinary leadership, vision and strategy to foster an innovative and collegial work environment. 3. CRN Women of the Channel 2016

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Malala Yousafzai represents the true meaning of leadership and bravery. She would not let herself be silenced in the face of extreme oppression. Instead, she used her dire circumstances as an opportunity to raise her voice for the greater good.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
1) Take the opportunity to keep your finger on the pulse of the channel - and business in general - by learning the modernized tools that keep your experiences dynamic and drive best practices. 2) Avoid tunnel vision when focusing on your daily tasks. Take time to expand your horizons, stay connected, and create opportunities to not only advance business, but challenge yourself. 3) Remind yourself how marketable you are, and that your value goes beyond your current contributions.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
I want to be GI Jane. I enjoy challenges that push me beyond my limits and take me out of my comfort zone because they force me to realize a level of strength, endurance and will power I didn't previously see in myself. I would like to experience the grueling demands placed on those incredible individuals that put their lives on the line every day to protect the freedoms we too often take for granted.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I would visit Auckland, New Zealand, which would be my starting point to experience everything that New Zealand has to offer. I would explore the culture and nightlife of the city, visit sailing and diving sites like the Bay of Islands, and explore glaciers and glowworm caves. Amidst all of the adventure, I would also take some time to relax, soaking up the sun on beautiful white sand beaches and enjoying a glass of wine at one of the country's many vineyards.
