Biography and Background:
I am the Director of Global Channel Readiness, Productivity, and Communications at Gemalto, the leader in digital security. My role is to impact Gemalto channel partners' productivity and profitability through sales and technical sales enablement, solution marketing, and developing partner tools that increase productivity and improve end-to-end partner experience from initial onboarding to becoming a fully transacting partner. Since joining the company in 2013, I have worked across all partner types including technical partner marketing, supporting service providers, systems integrators, solution providers, and cloud provider partners with onboarding, marketing materials, and developing go-to-market strategies. In my current role, I lead a team dedicated to driving partner productivity and profitability via the partner portal, improving partner engagement, and developing enablement trainings and sales certifications to enable Gemalto's value-added distributors and reseller partners to sell and deliver Gemalto Security solutions to customers across the globe. I have 10 years of experience in marketing spanning from developing innovative marketing programs that enhanced customer acquisition, retention, and revenue to introducing products into new markets, digital marketing, sales and partner enablement, and partner marketing for a number of high technologies and services including encryption, crypto management, and authentication.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
I lead a team dedicated to improving the partner experience, productivity, and profitability for the Gemalto Cipher Partners across the globe. Our focus is on delivering a best-in-class partner experience and delivering high quality tools, such as our newly released mobile-friendly Gemalto Cipher Partner Portal, enhanced deal registration process, and a new on-demand sales enablement certification to accelerate productivity. Our team is focused on being 100% aligned with our partner community and we initiated the first-ever Voice of the Partner survey to over 2100 partner individuals across the globe where we actively solicited and listened to feedback and partner input. Our partners are our best source of inspiration and we strive to become easier to work with through improving transparency and improving the overall partner experience.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
We aspire to become easier to work with through improving the overall partner experience. We will continue to make enhancements to the tools and resources that are available through the Gemalto Cipher Partner Portal. A big part of this initiative will be developing new enablement tools to improve partner productivity, including a new on-demand technical pre-sales certification that will be available later this year. Another goal for this year is to look at new ways for improving transparency by offering an efficient mix of engagement opportunities with our partner community.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Jackie Kennedy is someone who I recently learned more about when I read the book, What Jackie Taught Us: Lessons From the Remarkable Life of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis by Tina Santi Flaherty. I admire how she was able to balance a work life and raise her children despite scrutiny for her choices, she was an avid reader, had a sense of adventure, made people feel important, and exuded elegance and poise in everything that she did.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Find a mentor. I've been fortunate to have wonderful mentors that I've met throughout my career. They will help you in times of chaos, confusion, and celebration too! Be a sponge. Soak up everything and take notes. Sharpen your research skills because you will be doing a lot of it! If something is new, do research, information is out there to get you started. Have no fear. As Theodore Roosevelt said, "The best thing you can do is the right thing; the next best thing you can do is the wrong thing; the worst thing you can do is nothing."

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
I would choose to be Joey Potter from Dawson's Creek, not only because I grew up watching it as a teenager and wouldn't mind exploring the fictional town of Capeside, Massachusetts and meeting the other characters, but Joey is an incredibly inspirational character. She is witty, brilliant, and incredibly insightful. She has a drive to succeed, she had big dreams, and she achieved them, and more! She demanded respect in her relationships and lived authentically.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I would back-pack through Europe, going from Ireland all the way Greece. I find nothing more exciting than exploring new places, learning about other cultures, trying new foods, and expanding my lens of the world.
