Biography and Background:
Mariah West is the Director of Global Partner Marketing at Zerto, where she is responsible for driving global partner programs for both Zerto's Channel and Service Provider Ecosystems. Her team delivers innovative programs, training and go-to-market resources to grow Zerto's channel business and empower partners in an increasingly competitive marketplace. During her tenure at Zerto, she has been recognized in CRN's Women of the Channel and its Power 100 lists for 2014 and 2015. Mariah has more than eight years of direct experience in channel, content and web marketing for high-tech organizations, providing creative sales campaigns and innovative marketing services for emerging technologies and their providers.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
In 2016, I led my team through a significant revamping of the Zerto Alliance Partner (ZAP) Program to add additional simplicity, more equitable rewards and progressive new training and marketing programs to partners worldwide. The new ZAP Program is focused on delivering a unified experience and path to success for all of Zerto's reseller, cloud service provider and technology alliance partners under one program. This new program provides rewards for value, not just volume, offering benefits in lower volume markets to help partners build their business. The new ZAP Program also offers engagement programs for the next-generation of channel partners, including rewards for completing challenges through an innovative gamification platform. With 382 new partners added to Zerto's partner network and 2,600+ partner certifications in 2016, the ZAP program enhancements focus on delivering a unified experience and path to success for all of Zerto's 1,500 reseller, cloud service provider (CSP) and system integrator partners.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Continue to invest in partner support resources. We've added headcount across the board in partner and field marketing, channel and cloud sales and support to ensure we're meeting the needs of our partners across territories. Build on our foundation of training and certification. We'll add new partner courses and certification, both online and in-person classes on topics they need to be successful, not just with our product but in the industry as a whole. More top of funnel content and tools, not just collateral. Partners need self-serve resources that speak to overall end customer challenges and provide room for customization.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
• 5-Star rating in CRN's 2017 Partner Program Guide - Recognizes an elite subset of companies that offer solution providers the best partnering elements in their channel programs. • 2016 CRN Channel Chief - The executives on the Channel Chiefs list are a who's who of channel management. • Channelnomics Innovation Awards 2016 - Short list for Channel Chief of the Year. The awards ensure that those channel players across North America who bring innovation, forward thinking and excitement to the channel are recognized.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Audrey Hepburn. She was quirky and kind. She was exactly who she was, never tried to be anyone else.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Be ready to learn new things every day and thrive in the experience of learning. Technology changes rapidly. Some of the most successful women I've met in IT love the endless pursuit of knowledge and have used their nimble minds to apply new and interesting ideas to their profession.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Indiana Jones. Adventurer who stumbles on the world's greatest secrets, experiences great danger but everyone surprisingly lives in the end.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
Fiji. Remote tropical landscape, with white sandy beaches and clear blue water and reefs. Who doesn't need some island time?
