How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
As one of the "road warriors" at QuoteWerks, I have attended more than 20+ events this past year. Attending several trade shows has allowed QuoteWerks to have a presence in the Channel. My role on the road has allowed me to hear the needs of QuoteWerks' partners. As a result, I revitalized the QuoteWerks Training Program and led the planning and implementation of the project. In 2015, the program started with just one class in Chicago to now several multi-day classes across North American and the UK. All of which have been fully booked.
What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Due to the success of the QuoteWerks Training Program, we recognized that education is the key to success in the Channel. Within the next 12 months, my goal is to expand the training to our first ever user conference, QuoteWerks User Summit. The summit will be educational, and will help partners to better utilize their quoting solution. By learning how to better operate QuoteWerks, they can leverage other solutions to streamline their processes.
Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Betty White. Besides her great humor and charm, Betty White is a woman who broke barriers by being authentically and unapologetically herself. She inspires me to be me, all while working hard and loving what I do!
What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
My advice to young women entering a career in technology would be to have an open mind. Your first job isn't likely your dream job, but working hard, having a positive attitude and networking will open many doors for you.
If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Anna Leonowens in The King & I. What I love about her character is that she was a smart, strong willed and was a very progressive woman for her time. I would also love nothing more to sing and dance mid-conversation in real life!
If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I love to travel, so everywhere is on my list! However, if I had to choose one city all expenses paid, I would choose Seoul, South Korea. I love the Korean food and culture, and would love the opportunity to spend some time there.
