Biography and Background:
A fixture in the technology industry, Stacey brings to Fortinet a passion for developing and enhancing strong market leadership and creating teams that deliver results. With Fortinet's 100% channel sales model, this means providing our partners with the training, programs, and demand generation tools they can leverage to create growth and profitability for their business. Stacey supports this initiative by guiding the strategy and development behind Fortinet's market presence, ultimately delivering new pipeline for our partners.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Fortinet continues to enhance our relationship with partners through investments in programs that drive partner profitability and opportunity. Over the past year, we have streamlined our programs so partners can take advantage of a framework that allows them to operate efficiently while at the same time mitigating risk for their customers. We are focused on programs and tools that make doing business with us easier and more profitable for our partners, and we are continually working to align these programs to support partner goals. Stacey has become a driving force behind this effort, streamlining processes and building a top-notch team to help partners better understand and leverage the Fortinet vision.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
We believe that the Fortinet Security Fabric gives partners a unique opportunity to offer a solution that is changing the way customers think about risk mitigation. Partners who deploy the Security Fabric are realizing an efficient operating model and increased profits while closing the security gap for their customers. 2017 will see continued investment in our Security Fabric and complementary programs, like the Cyber Threat Assessment Program, which allows partners to drive customer assessments, increasing their deal size and profitability. We'll also continue to expand our brand marketing efforts so partners can take advantage of greater awareness throughout the marketplace.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
ITSMA Gold Award: I drove the Avaya marketing team to up-level the overall marketing accountability through better measurement that leverages both internal data and trending as well as external benchmarks. When I arrived at Avaya, the charter was to create a "data-driven, digital-savvy marketing organization" and setting the measurement foundation, as well as building out the digital marketing capabilities, was a key milestone.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Janice Chaffin. She was one of the business unit Presidents at Symantec overseeing a $2.1B business. I admire her capacity to manage both the short-term goals and long-term vision to grow and nurture a mature business. At the time, she was the only female EVP at Symantec, so she served as the beacon to elevate women leadership roles. She encouraged business model experiments and to innovate across various go-to-market and channel levers. She challenged us to balance customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value with customer experience improvement to ensure a robust marketing approach that would drive revenue.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
I believe every journey creates unique learning opportunities, so there really is no wrong answer or bad assignment. Take the learning and build on it. It also doesn't hurt to try different job functional areas to figure out what discipline fits you the best. After all, to reach an executive level, one must have multiple functional experiences. And remember that career growth is not a linear linehave courage to try new things.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Maybe the "007 Q" character. I don't need to be the action hero or one of the hero figures that saves the day. Personally I am driven to push the limit and swim upstream. I enjoy solving difficult and complex business problems by outsmarting competitors by seeing patterns they don't and get there before they do.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
Moscow. There is a huge amount of history and unique architecture structures to explore. Life is about creating memory through lots of experiments and experiences. Checking out Moscow is definitely one item on the bucket list.
