How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
As LOGICNow, we acquired and integrated three companies in twelve months, and were then acquired ourselves by SolarWinds, to create SolarWinds MSP in June 2016. Everything my team has done over the past 12 months to provide a more unified brand linked to a number of marketing and selling tools that we make available to our customers, has given a much needed go-to-market boost across our customer base. Our customers look to us for answers beyond technology. I'm constantly having conversations with them about how to better utilize marketing to drive more effective selling models. As one customer said, "They really listen at SolarWinds MSP and work with us to make it happen."

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Our goals in marketing are to improve partner profitability and increase the amount of net new accounts coming through partners. We also want to help our channel partners better differentiate themselves and their services not only through their technical capabilities, but also their marketing capabilities.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
I was awarded the CRN Channel Chief 2017 honor for my leadership in the IT channel.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I love this quote from her and I think it's true: "In every good marriage, it pays sometimes to be a little deaf. Sometimes people say unkind or thoughtless things, and when they do, it is best to be a little hard of hearing - to tune out and not snap back in anger or impatience." This is great advice for business and other personal relationships as well.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
There are five things that have consistently helped me as a woman in a technology business: 1) Find a mentor and take their advice - someone who has navigated through a career in technology successfully 2) Don't be afraid to ask questions - there are always other people that have the same question and just don't want to ask 3) Trust your instincts 4) Don't take things personally that you shouldn't, but call out behavior that is not acceptable. Stand up for yourself but always in a mature, professional manner. 5) Never stop being curious or stop learning.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Not so much a movie character, but for a day I would be The Doctor in Doctor Who. He is smarter than most people, he tries to do the right thing, he can time travel and experience history and the future - what would be cooler than that?

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I would go to Nairobi, which would be the start of an African Photo Safari. That is a "bucket list" trip for me and my family.
