How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Since virtually every department in Veracode has a channel component in their 2017 plan, my number one priority has been to harness all these elements to provide the best level of support and engagement for our partner network. I have spent significant time meeting with partners to better understand how they have been working with Veracode and the teams within Veracode to understand how they expect to work with partners in 2017 to determine the right strategy and investments. This has resulted in working to enhance the Veracode Partner program and overall communications to our partners to ensure these align to sustain and continue the strong growth Veracode has experienced over the past several years. Within the first half of 2017 Veracode will unveil several new program elements and tools to support the growth of our partners' business with Veracode.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
My main goal for 2017 is to drive Veracode's exponential growth with the channel. To achieve this I am laser focused on making sure our partners are not only connected to our solutions and the value they deliver, but to the company itself like an extension of our sales team. This can only happen by aligning the entire Veracode organization to support our partners, make significant investments in technology, communications, enablement and the partner program. For many of our partners application security is a greenfield opportunity, and together we can help them foster new business and growth for their organization.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
Channel Chief 2016-CRN Woman of the Channel 2016-CRN

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I admire Susan B. Anthony for so many reasons. The commitment to equality for all humans and the dedication and persistence she showed to garner the support needed to change our path is moving. Additionally, her unwavering commitment to change has always been so inspiring to me. The notion of recognizing everyone's value, not settling for the status quo and making monumental change will never be forgotten. All of her movements were very unpopular and even against the law but the reward far outweighed the risk and proud she got to see the benefits of her fight before she passed.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Women seeking careers in technology should not let gender and stereotypes define where they think they belong, there is definitely a place for them in technology. Jump in feet first and don't look back, stay open to new opportunities and learn as much as possible. This industry is growing like crazy and being a part of it will be fun and rewarding. Our world is quickly evolving to be a software/technology defined world so contribute and help drive the evolution!

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
If I could be a movie character for one day I would be Princess Leia, I mean who didn't want to be her growing up? She is a character that completely exemplifies the personification of empowerment. Beyond being a princess in a science fiction world in space, she was a general, she was feminine, and fought along the other soldiers with her lightsaber. I am not a sci-fi girl but who wouldn't want to dominate the galaxy like a boss while waving a lightsaber?

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I would love to visit Dubai, UAE on an all expenses paid trip because I have always be intrigued about this city. As a frequent traveler, Dubai is supposedly the mecca for hospitality and experiences for the world travelers. It seems to have everything from the modern architecture to the culture to the shopping and the world's most luxurious hotels. I dream of touring the deserts by camel back, experiencing the local markets and cuisine, and pampering myself at the over the top hotels.
