Biography and Background:
I came to IIS in 2007 after accepting an early retirement package from Hewlett-Packard Company, where I had worked for 21 years. I spent the last several years working in the Channel so I knew what company I wanted to work for when I left HP, International Solutions, Ltd. Knowing the people and management team, I knew it would be a great place to pursue my second career.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
At the start of my career at IIS, I had many hands in the several pots including Support Contract Renewals. After a year, it was determined the best place for me would be running the Support Contract Renewal business. Our ultimate goal was to make renewals easier for our end users to manage. In the end, we have achieved this and grown the renewal business into a multi-million dollar business.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Our plan is to grow the business next year by expanding our reach into additional customers and the products we sell. We are making investments in a managed service business practice focused on assisting out customers in their desires to go through digital transformation utilizing private, public, and hybrid cloud, manages services, managing multi cloud environments to meet their financial objectives.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
I have received the IIS "Above the Line" employee recognition award for striving for continuous excellence. I was also awarded and acknowledged for 10 years of IIS service.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I am inspired by Oprah Winfrey - which I bet is a common answer. She has overcome great poverty, as well as trying times in her childhood. I admire her concern for others, especially young women who live in environments where women are not always looked upon positively. She is personally giving them an opportunity they would never have had without her. If just a few them pay it forward, the world will be a better place year after year.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
I would encourage women to enter the technology field. While it can be tough industry, it is never boring. You need to be able to multi-task and women really have the ability to do this well. When you see the new products that are introduced every year and how they can help people around the world it is exciting. Technology touches all fields, so it touches each and everyone of us.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
If I could be a character in a movie for one day, I would be Herione Granger from Harry Potter. While it is a fantasy, Hermione is a great role model. She is smart, caring, and a great friend. These are three great traits for anyone to have.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
If I could travel to any city I have not been to, I would go to Sydney Australia. Everything I have seen about Australia has been beautiful. On top of that, I have several friends from Australia and several that still live there. I don't think I have ever met an Australian I didn't like!
