How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
In the past year, I have worked hard to stay focused on understanding the security needs of our partners and customer and presenting the best solutions that meet these needs. This focus has paid off, and we've been able to increase sales and help businesses fight against the latest threats, such as ransomware, with our new innovative products like Sophos Intercept X. The overall success had a lot to do with being responsive to our channel partners and putting strategic partner business plans, partner enablement and training plans as well as spiffs and promotions initiatives and plans in place to make them successful with their customers and profitable as a business. Sophos is 100 percent channel focused, and because of this commitment, the innovation of our product line and the focus we had, we saw incredible growth in the East, the territory that I manage.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
My primary goal over the next year is to continue the momentum of our mid-market channel business. I will remain focused on growing our channel partner's revenue, capitalizing on new business opportunities and assisting our partners in differentiating themselves with our portfolio of end-to-end security solutions. I will continue our commitment to educate our partners and provide them the tools they need in order to be successful in reselling and supporting Sophos products, as well as delivering services based on Sophos' MSP and related programs.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
2016 CRN Women of the Channel 2016 Sophos Presidents Club Award Winner - this was awarded by Sophos' executive team including CEO Chris Hagerman, SVP Worldwide Sales Mike Valentine, Vice President of Global Channels Kendra Krause and Vice President of America Sales and Operations John Keenan.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I have been very lucky here at Sophos and in my career to be surrounded by some incredibly talented women both at the management level and at the individual contributor level. We always aim to support each other, network and discuss the challenges and the successes that we have in our professional roles and in the industry as a whole. I admire all of these women with whom I work with on a daily basis.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Don't be afraid to take risks, set lofty goals and voice your opinions. It is important to be heard and respected for what you believe in. I also encourage you to be creative, take chances and strive to give your best every single day. Hard work pays off.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Well, this is a tough question because I love movies. However, I would have to pick a superhero and this would be Iron Man. Why? While it might not seem like he has natural superpowers, he is one of the most intelligent characters of the Marvel universe. His intelligence and use of technology sets him apart from his peers and competition.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I have never been to Sydney, Australia and have always wanted to go. The accents are amazing and from what I hear the Harbour, food, weather and beaches are just spectacular!
