Biography and Background:
As the lead of Zebra's Global Channel Operations organization, Rita Koridek plays an integral role in the integration and delivery of Zebra™ PartnerConnect, the new integrated partner program that supports over 13,000 partners worldwide. She has held key roles in Zebra's sales operations, regional channel operations, and marketing, and co-led the Integration Management Office for Zebra's successful acquisition of Motorola Services. Koridek's career began in sales and sales management with Illinois Bell and AT&T, where she helped launch the Ameritech region's first Data Partner program. She held roles within the Bell system in sales, channel, marketing, and operations for data and voice communications products and services. Koridek's passion for the channel continued as owner and business partner for Telecomm Industries, where she built a $1M business to $22M before moving to Altigen Communications to help launch the IPO. She was also Director of Global Channel and Sales Operations for Tellabs, leading the growth of channel sales for carrier backbone network and access systems. Koridek's deep skills managing complex global integration and launches - combined with her knowledge of channel and distribution - enable her to uniquely create and enhance the future experience for Zebra channel partners in the Enterprise Asset Intelligence market.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
I've helped to advance Zebra's channel business over the past year by leading the team that has driven the launch and delivery of Zebra™ PartnerConnect, the company's new integrated partner program that joined together two separate programs into a single, unified structure. This effort has involved the launch and delivery of over 30 partner tools and capabilities, which support the lifecycle of approximately 13,000 partners that engage Zebra worldwide. This includes everything from streamlined partner onboarding, comprehensive dashboards, a global partner portal and product access, deal registration, financial rebates, MDF and COOP, solution and business partner benefits, program governance and compliance management, and the full technical support of partners with all Zebra's systems and tools. The new Zebra™ PartnerConnect is recognized in the industry as an elite subset of partner programs that offers solution providers the best partnering elements in their channel programs, and has demonstrated strong year-over-year growth with respect to channel participation and revenues for Zebra in the Enterprise Asset Intelligence market.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
I am committed to enhancing the channel experience for Zebra's partners, and have been deep in the planning of some exciting solutions to drive that objective. During 2017, we'll be launching Partnership Builder - a new cloud-based business management tool - that enables better business collaboration between Zebra's channel account managers and our partners and distributors. This solution builds on the solid foundation we've created with the new Zebra™ PartnerConnect, and unifies critical benefits under a single, easy-to-navigate dashboard. My focus is to make Zebra nimbler in the way we do business with our partners, so we can accelerate our growth together.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
The new Zebra™ PartnerConnect that my team launched and implemented over the past year received the 2017 CRN 5-Star Award. This 5-Star Partner Program rating recognizes an exclusive subset of organizations whose partner program offers solution providers with the best partnering elements in their channel programs, and is bestowed on programs whose overall rating is among the elite. Also, as the Business Engagement Lead for the full integration of Zebra's ERP systems, I've been recognized multiple times for my work on Zebra's Integration Management Organization (IMO) through award of the Zebra Acquisition Recognition for Motorola Solutions Enterprise Business Technology.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
One of the women I admire most at Zebra Technologies is Juliann Larimer, our Vice President & General Manager of North America Sales. She has been a true force in terms of demonstrating over her years of experience - and particularly in relation to the channel - the art of the possible and what it means to be committed. She's an excellent role model.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Young women who want to begin technology careers should GO FOR IT! I've been in technology my entire career and can't think of a more exciting field to pursue. Technology is the future for everyone, and regardless of whether you do marketing, sales or operations work, to do it in a technology environment gives you visibility to the future, is energizing, and lets you impact the arena where all our lives will truly be. I also don't see any barriers here; women have more tremendous opportunities than ever before in any aspect of the technology industry and can succeed.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
I would be Wonder Woman! This year is the 75-year anniversary of the creation of the Wonder Woman character, and for so many years she has always had universal appeal to both men and woman. She fights for peace, justice and women's rights. Wonder Woman puts forth a vision that women are capable of anything. She is the ultimate role model and I would love to be her for a day!

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
If I could travel to a city I've never been to before, I would head straight to Rome, Italy. Of all the places I've had the luxury to visit (largely for business), Italy is one of the few countries where I've barely scratched the surface. I would love to go to Rome for the food, and the culture, and the people. The Eternal City is on my bucket list.
