Biography and Background:
I have over 20 years of diverse management experience in sales and marketing and a track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets in the IT channel. I began my career at a regional distributor and then moved to the vendor community in which I managed sales teams that call on distributors, direct marketing re-sellers (DMRs) and e-tailers in the IT channel. I worked at Tripp Lite for 24 years and currently work for Legrand as the VP of IT Sales for North America.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
I developed and executed a go-to market strategy that broadened Legrand Data Communications' footprint in the IT Channel through key distributors, larger re-sellers and e-commerce players in North America. One of my current missions is to integrate the other Legrand brands into the IT channel. Other Legrand brands include: Wiremold, Ortronics, Electrorack, and Pass & Seymour.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
My main goal is for Legrand to become the benchmark supplier of cabling and connectivity products in the broad-line IT channel eco-system. I also plan to continue leading the sales organization with initiatives that grow sales profitably within the channel.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
I would have to say being promoted from a Director to the Vice President of IT Sales within 8 months of working at Legrand is a huge honor.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
I admire Malala Yousafzai. She has such an inspirational story. To have such bravery and selflessness at a young age is unbelievable. She is a great role model, not only for women, but for everyone. I admire that she has dedicated her life to be an advocate for women's rights, education and peace.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Find a mentor and work for a company who values their employees and supports women in the workplace. Surround yourself with talented people and help them develop their careers. Embrace Change. Keep learning and volunteer for projects that challenge you!

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Since I love musicals and dancing, I think it would be so much fun to be Mia Dolan in LA LA Land, played by the beautiful and talented Emma Stone.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have never been to South America and I hear that Buenos Aires has a lot of flair. It's also known as the "Paris of South America."
