Biography and Background:
More than +10 years' experience in IT industry, where I have had different roles at local and international levels, working with channel and direct sales team. I started in finance and have moved over to strategy and operations to work more closely with the business. My background allow me to see challenges from different perspectives from the local level and also the centralized level always trying to find the right balance. I have a Master of Science from Norwegian School of Management, Oslo, Norway, and an Master in Internatinonal Business from EAE, Barcelona, Spain. Having the opportunity to live abroad was a great experience. After 11 years in HPE I have now moved to Citrix, still mainly working with software. I enjoy working in teams and is a positive person always trying to find inovative solutions to any challenge. My analytical way of working fits well when working in operations. In my spare time I enjoy skiing at winter time, and at summer I like to swim and hike, all with friends and family.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Starting 2017 we have transformed our channel team to align more closely with the EMEA sales team. As part of the EMEA Channel leadership team, I've been involved in the transformation work with defining new roles, create compensation plans that support the new organization, target setting internally and externally, and lastly creating a business reporting framework that support our business. New forecast process is put in place, KPIs and scorecards created alongside general business reporting to support business and enable business leaders to focus on the right things and grow our partners and our business.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
From a channel perspective the coming year is all about focusing on core products, leverage partnership with Microsoft and ensuring our partners are more productive and growing. Cloud is a core component of the overall Citrix focus for the coming year, where our service providers are key to the cloud success. My key focus to support Citrix channel goals is the oprational framework and analytics, and to support overall transformation we're undergoing.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
During the last year I've changed job from HPE to Citrix, and thus no honors and awards in this transition phase.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
There are many great women who have inspired me during the last years, and it's challenging to name just one. I'm part of a Women in IT network in Norway (odanettverk.no) which was founded by women working in Micfosoft in Norway +10 years ago. It's now the largest network in Scandinavia who focus on engaging women to work in IT. Besides regular networking events, they also arrange one Inspirational Day per year which is popular event now. Anne Gretland lead the organization for 10 years with a passion and engagement one can only admire - all done on volunteer basis.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
IT is an industry that is defining the future we live and work in. It's dynamic with continous changes, which give you a wealth of opportunities and develpment areas. Say yes to the challenges you get - I've never regretted saying yes however scary or challenging it might have seemed. Leverage your network, focus on doing a good job, stay curious, develop and challenge yourself to learn new things and get experience in different areas.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
It would be fun, scary, thrilling, and generally exciting to be Beatrix Kiddo also known as The Bride from Kill Bill for a day in real life. She never gives up despite any challenges that she's faced with, and her strive to improve her current situation and get what she want is inspirational.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
Rio de Janerio is next on my list of cities I would like to see and experience. The culture seems different from where I live today, and I enjoy experiencing different cultures, foods, and way of living. The city also offer anything from good life at the beach to explore the vibrant city, sightseeing and nature.
