Biography and Background:
I have been with ViewSonic for 17 years, of which the past 9 have been specific to US engagement with the channel and the end users they serve. ViewSonic is born of the channel. Our partnership is critical to ViewSonic's success.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Each year that passes, new solutions and technologies bring to the channel opportunities for net new revenue. 2016 was no different. ViewSonic launched a number of solutions in the hot collaboration category for enterprise and education. We invested in more personnel to train and support the channel on the new solutions. We also invested in more partner events to bring the collaboration technologies to their customers. As such, we met with more channel partners, their employees and customers in 2016 than we have in a long, long time and the effort was mutually beneficial.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
In 2017, we will continue our outreach to the channel community with more tools and solutions to increase revenue and margin. For instance, we are partnering with 3rd party software companies for integrated solutions that make it easy for the channel to sell our turnkey offerings to their customers. We will also engage in more "buddy" calls with our partners to assist with closing the deals on their behalf.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
There are so many women that I admire it is difficult to pick just one. Malala Yousafzai is a young woman of courage beyond comprehension. Her resolve, strength and fearless pursuit of equality for females, at the potential cost of her life, is inspiring a generation of girls to believe in themselves. The world is a better place with Malala in it.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Stay fascinated with the solutions that technology brings . And spread that fascination among colleagues, friends and family. You will soon find yourself respected thought leaders in their area of technology expertise.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Natasha Romanoff (aka the Black Widow) in the Avengers. Because she kicks butt, literally. It would be fun to take down the bad guys for a day and look great doing it.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
This is more general than a specific city, but the South of France. It is on my bucket list. I would take a month, cycling through the region, to appreciate the landscape, wineries, the culture and the food.
