Biography and Background:
Stacey has been a corporate attorney for Intelisys and other sales entities in the channel since 2001. After a 14-year partnership, Stacey took on the dual role of as Vice President, Supplier Management & General Counsel in 2015 with Intelisys. As a corporate attorney, Stacey has provided legal and business consulting services to start-up and established companies in the finance, internet, software and telecommunication industries. She likes to think of herself as an attorney who thinks like a business person. Stacey has a BA from University of California, Davis and a JD from Santa Clara University, School of Law.
How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
In my dual role as Vice President, Supplier Management & General Counsel, I have helped advance our channel business by negotiating and monitoring supplier contracts, making certain that they are mutually beneficial to Supplier Partners, and protective of our Sales Partners. I was directly involved our acquisition by ScanSource in 2016, which provides additional value to our Sales and Supplier Partners and increases channel business. I have also focused on building and developing deeper relationships with our Sales and Supplier Partners.
What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Our central goal at Intelisys is always the same: helping our Sales Partners successfully grow their businesses. Over the next year, my goal is to continue strengthening my relationships with our Supplier Partners and Sales Partners, and continue building mutually beneficial partnerships. I will also focus on expanding our supplier base, providing more sales opportunities for our Partners.
Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Oprah Winfrey. She came from a humble background and through education, hard work and sheer will, she achieved incredible success and rose to the top of her industry. Oprah has achieved success in multiple aspects of her life as a talk show host, actress, publisher and producer. She's also a dedicated children's rights activist and philanthropist who has helped to raise billions of dollars for charitable organizations.
What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Believe in yourself, and believe in your abilities. Even if you're the only woman in the room, always remember that your ideas are equally as good or better than anyone else in that room. It's important to work hard, and also efficiently. Be flexible, and try to think outside of the box.
If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games. She didn't want to seek the limelight for herself, but did so for altruistic reasons. It was her strength of character and compassion that allowed her to become a leader, and the reason why people believed in her and followed her.
If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I would travel to St. Petersburg, Russia. It's a vibrant and grand city, with an incredible amount of history. I would love to see the State Hermitage Museum, which is one of the largest art museums in the world. The museum was founded the 1700s, and houses over three million works of art, objects and artifacts.
