How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
I have to say that I have built a great team and what we have achieved is a team effort. We have invested in more resources to support the channel team. We want to ensure that partners have the budget and support to find and win new customers and the skills to manage them in accordance with Mimecast's Legendary Customer Success goals. In the past twelve months there have been some strategic hires including a Partner Programs Director and Channel Technical Manager. These hires are crucial to helping us enhance our partner program and partner's experience of working with us. MDF and incentive programs have helped to increase inbound opportunities and increased investment in a dedicated telemarketing team has seen higher conversion rates for jointly generated opportunities. Mimecast marketing is fun and we want partners to get excited about our approach.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Exceeding our growth targets - as you would expect! Launching a channel in Northern Europe has been exciting this year. We have ambitious growth plans and want to take our Channel First mantra to Europe. I want to build a leading Partner Management team. A team that our competitors' best people want to work for and have the respect of the partners they manage. Launch enhancements to our partner program that improves our technical enablement program for partners and rewards the partners that invest more in our partnership.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Michelle Mone. Michelle is from a working class upbringing and suffered personal crisis in her early adult life. Leaving school with no qualifications, she was determined, ambitious and courageous as she tried to improve the life for herself and her young family. She set up Ultimo and later sold for £39million. She is creative in her approach to business and a role model for many that have a dream.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Understand that this is a competitive industry and embrace competition. Start with sports and move into projects that help you achieve your career goals. I was involved in Young Enterprise schemes and public speaking competitions. Get some relevant experience to start building a network and make your CV stand out. Getting referrals is a great way to get up the career ladder. Finally, learn a language. It is something I have not done, but regret. Maybe I should make this a goal before 40!

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Now, it would have to be M from James Bond. A strong woman, in charge of the Secret Service! Imagine the information you would get, the people you would lead and the responsibility. Followed by a delicious cocktail with 007 at the end of your day. I think a day would be enough though.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
Shanghai. I would love to see that skyline for myself! I love to experience new cultures and have not been to China before. I want to see how people engage with each other and how they do business. I would love to eat food that we have not westernized too! Then if I could go home via the Great Wall then that would be another item off my bucket list!
