How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
In the last year, I have made it a priority to establish relationships with our top partners, soliciting their feedback to understand what we do well for them and to identify areas for improvement over the next year. As a direct result, we have revises partner incentives to reward for growth in strategic product categories and expanded our program to a broader subset of resellers. We also re-launched Star Student, a program helping Educational Institutions acquire display solutions for their classrooms.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
Over the next year, NEC Display Solutions will continue to maintain its focus on achieving smart growth, improving programs & tools that enable the channel to sell our products and solutions, and improve internal processes to make it easier to do business with the company.

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
This past year, I have been recognized as one of 2016's Women of the Channel and 2017 Channel Chief. In addition, while it wasn't an official award, my daughter honored me this past year by telling me I was a great mom. I travel a lot for work and am not home as often as other parents, so I was thrilled that she took the time to let me know she appreciates the quality time we share together.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Angelina Jolie is a woman I admire. Not only has she received recognition as an actor and longstanding advocate for human rights, she is a working mom and has continued to pursue personal & professional growth by expanding into directing and producing films.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
I would advise any young woman in today's workplace to set one or two big goals a year and focus on achieving them. Show initiative and proactively offer ideas to solve business problems. Finally, don't rely on the merit of your work to advance your career. Network and form relationships with your leaders and peers. Let them know your goals and accomplishments.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
I'd want to be Claire Randall, the main character in the Outlander series so that I could experience time travel and life in another era.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
There are so many wonderful places to explore in this world, but I would pick Hanoi in Vietnam with a side trip to Ha Long Bay and the Marble Mountains. I have always wanted to explore this city. It is supposed to be a beautiful place to visit with its French Colonial and Chinese architectural influences. There is also so much history with this country, the people have a reputation for being laid back and friendly, and the food is amazing. I would have to sample the local Pho & Banh Xeo (a Vietnamese crepe filled with meat and veggies)!
