Biography and Background:
After graduating from Central Michigan University, I began working at Verizon and have since held positions at Atos Consulting, NetSales, MatrixOne, BearingPoint Consulting, Symantec and now Veritas. As a senior leader, I have experience managing Direct Sales, Channel Sales, OEMs, Inside Sales, Product Marketing and Business Development teams. My experience has helped me cultivate strong sales and business development leadership skills and to build teams that handle complex tasks and large revenue goals. Lover of all things dog related, I enjoy spending time with my Black & Tan Coonhound, Millie, whom I rescued from a kill shelter four years ago. I also work with a local animal rescue and would someday like to own a rescue ranch for abused dogs.

How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Over the past year, I assumed additional responsibilities within the Channel at Veritas by taking on the leadership role of our Large Account Resellers as well as the Field Channel organization. Together with the VAR organization that I have led for the past couple of years, I have been able to leverage all channel RTMs while holistically gaining greater mindshare with the Veritas direct sellers by leveraging the entire channel community to close business. This has led to unprecedented partner to partner "joint selling" which has resulted in greater profitability internally and externally.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?

What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
In 2016, I was recognized on CRN's Women of the Channel list along with the "Power 100: The Most Powerful Women of the Channel."

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Any woman who is willing to stand up for her beliefs, her freedom and her country.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Don't let anyone convince you that technology is only for men. Prove them wrong by exceling in what you do and you will be rewarded. Work harder than the person next to you. Inspire those around you with trust, integrity and accountability. Challenge the status quo. Make sure you don't put yourself in a box. Explore all avenues by networking and doing several internships during your educational years. Find a mentor. Be a mentor. Learn every day.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Holly Golightly played by Audrey Hepburn in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." She was witty, smart, clever, stylish, sweet, and was oozing with innocence, which is hard to find in today's world. Plus, she knew how to throw a good party for her friends!

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I have been fortunate to travel the world, including a visit to all 50 of the United States (as a child in a camper with my family). However, I have never been to Australia, so I would love to explore Sydney.
