How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
Over the past year, as Marketing Manager for Intronis, one of my goals has been to demonstrate through our event participation that Intronis MSP Solutions by Barracuda is no longer just a cloud back-up and data recovery company, and that our offering now includes a wide array of data protection AND security solutions. In 2016, Intronis MSP Solutions by Barracuda sponsored more than 40 events, which lead to roughly 50 percent year-over-year growth in event-driven deals and helped expand our business significantly. We also continued to strengthen our partner relationships, expanding our "Local Lunch" program in 2016 to include Canada. Last year, we more than doubled the number of "Local Lunches" with 104 taking place across the U.S. and Canada, up from 42 in the U.S. alone during 2015.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
My goal for the coming year is to continue to help educate the channel on Intronis MSP Solutions by Barracuda's growing product offering and communicate the message that we are no longer just a cloud backup and data protection company but also a security company that can address the unique challenges our channel partners face with it comes to protecting their customers from ransomware and other existing and emerging cyber threats. I am also looking forward to continuing to educate our Partners on the solutions and resources that are available to them.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Angela McCarter, my former boss at the University of Memphis. Her ability to find balance between a busy marketing job for an NCAA Division I program and being a devoted mom to a son with health issues, inspired me then and still does today. She took me under her wing and showed me that with hard work, passion, and drive you can accomplish anything. She also taught me that to succeed, it is important to always be yourself, do what truly makes you happy, and to never be intimidated by male-dominated industries and/or organizations.

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Don't be afraid to follow your passion, and don't be afraid if and when you face challenges in the workplace - they will only make you stronger in the long run. Make conquering your challenges and fears the definition of who you are.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Erin Brockovich. I like the fact that she fought for the underdog and stood up for what she believed in - she didn't take no for an answer. In life, we don't always recognize those who fight for us and make a difference, and I really admire her for getting the justice those she was fighting for needed and deserved.

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
Greece. I love learning and being a part of different cultures. In Greece, there would be so much to take in - the delicious food, wine, beaches and beautiful culture that dates back thousands of years.
