How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
As Verizon Enterprise Solutions moves out of the traditional carrier space to enterprise IT solutions I have developed the strategy to move from an agent only model to a solution provider model and responsible for the building of a repeatable, scalable resale model, which was not being done at Verizon.
What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
As part of Verizon Enterprise Channel transformation the following are the key goals for this project. • Develop a common Partner Program which spans across all channels worldwide • Develop a product go to market process that has the right pricing, in the right geography for the right partners. • Develop and end-to-end repeatable, scalable resale model that incorporates all aspects of the business. A model that is simple for partners to embrace and understand. • Create awareness in the channel for Verizon's innovative enterprise solutions.
What honors, awards or commendations have you won over the past year?
In 2016 Verizon held a Worldwide Hackathon designed to solve complex business issues. There were over 300 teams most of them virtual that had 48 hours to build solutions for these complex issues and present the solutions to the judges. My team was awarded Runner Up based on a challenge of building Verizon Next Generation Channel.
Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Ellen DeGeneres consistently proves herself to be the woman I most admire. She is so selfless and has changed the lives of so many people. Her tagline "Be kind to one another" sticks with me everyday. She has so much humor in her heart and truly cares about making a difference for other people everywhere around the world.
What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Technology is about innovation and change. It's different today than it was last year, five years ago, 10 years ago. You can be part of that innovation. Technology has many definitions and offers many different career opportunities for women. You have to be open minded and think about the multitude of opportunities in technology today.
If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
Rocky Balboa. His drive, his early morning runs through the city streets and triumphant race up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, with his victorious fist in the air. I relate to his commitment of picking himself up by his bootstraps and rising to the top, and exhilarating moments of triumph like his are the moments I seek every day.
If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
I am absolutely in love with Tuscany, Italy. All I want is just a week of touring the vineyards, eating in cafe's, the fresh cheeses and vegetables, and taking in the smells of the gorgeous Tuscan countryside. Walking there, eating there, drinking there, relaxing there, is my idea of heaven.
