How have you personally helped advance your company's channel business over the past year?
When I joined DirectDefense in 2016, there was no formal integrated marketing program. During this time, I developed a marketing plan that grew to include speaking opportunities, trade shows, blogs, media briefs, sponsorship, lead generation programs, award submissions, website and brand overhaul, and a successful social media program.

What are your goals for your company's channel business over the next year?
We will continue to expand our efforts in lead generation, inbound marketing programs, content development, vertical marketing programs and sales enablement activities.

Outside of your family, please name a woman you admire and why:
Dr. Jane Goodall. Her message to the world speaks volumes because she lives it herself: "Never forget that every single day that you live, you make a difference...you impact the world and you have a choice of what kind of impact you make...and that your life matters...and that you can make a difference."

What advice would you give to young women who want to begin careers in technology?
Don't expect to be praised. In the corporate environment, nobody is going to hold your hand or praise you for all the little things you do. Knowing your worth is crucial to being confident and independent in the workplace.

If you could be any movie character for one day in real life, who would you be and why?
As the mother of a 7 year old girl I have to go with Moana from Disney's Moana. She's a master navigating, monster-fighting, world-saving awesome young lady!

If you could travel to a city you've never been to before, all expenses paid, where would you go and why?
Donsol Bay, Philippines to swim with whale sharks.
